To fit our kitchen, we needed a counter depth frig, but we didn't want to sacrifice storage space. The LG, with its on door ice-maker satisfied our demands. So far, the performance was been very good. The arrangement of drawers and shelves on the interior is very efficient. Only complaint -The ice maker tends to jam, but we don't use much ice

3! cu ft LFX25991ST/02 Bottom Mount Refrigerator

Fantastic fridge! However, this was purchased for our cabin in northern WI. There is grossly insufficient information in the product manual for draining the water lines, shutting down the ice maker and making it ready for complete vacation mode in subzero weather. Making the stupid comment to notify a qualified technician for help is insane when we are quite capable of winterizing all our other appliances when we close down. Note: We found the same notation in the manual of our new LG dishwasher purchased this year. So we will have to have a tech come out and show us how. Ridiculous!
Also, an alarm should sound on the freezer door if it is left open by a fraction of an inch because of a shifted package in the freezer. Boy, did we learn the hard way on that! Complete defrost and loss of ice. The alarm is only good if the door is open about a foot. Ridiculous!

We were limited on the space where the refrigerator was going. It fit the opening perfect. We have much more space inside of refrigerator than our old one. My wife really like the storage space on the doors. We are very pleased with this product.

The LG refrigerator I purchased exceeded all of my expectations. It is well designed, both inside and out. I am extremely satisfied with this product and would recommend LG to anyone looking for a well designed, outstanding product.

Very quiet with loads of features

I needed a refrigerator with shallow depth so it didn't protrude from the entry way. I am very happy with all of the features. It runs very quietly. I also like the self closing doors. I had another brand previously and we always had to make sure the door was pushed all the way closed. Many times the door was left ajar. Thanks for making a quality product.

Love the counter depth feature!

My counter depth fridge/freezer rocks. There's so much room in/on the doors of this thing it's amazing. The freezer being located in the drawer below is a new concept for me. If I still had kids living here I don't think I'd have enough freezer room. It's full now with one large frozen pizza, 4 pints of frozen yogurt, about 12 bags of frozen organic veggies,fruit & berries,Family size Eggo box,two frozen pie shells, 2 large whole filleted salmons,5 Lean Cuisines,a box of popsicles and a bag of french fries. Which is a lot I guess! Overall it's been FAB, I've never run out of ice. Oh and it's really good looking.

An expensive mistake

Having to open both doors to access the middle drawer and the full width drawer is not convenient. The full width drawer is not deep enough to really be useful. The fruit and vegetable bins are too small. The split shelf is not useful at all since it takes more room below the shelf (there's a bar that gets in the way and limits the height of jars that can go underneath. The refrigerator is not really counter depth and I didn't expect the doors to need more width. I still have problems with moisture and ice in the freezer. The shallow trays are worthless. The doors are hard to keep clean - it always looks like it has a film on it. I like now having an ice and water dispenser but am not looking forward to the maintenance. I'd rather have the space and make my own ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
