Haven’t owned for not even 6 years and it dies ! Then find out through internet searches was part of a lawsuit per failing compressors and was never notified . Was shut out of the lawsuit ! Will never purchase an LG product again . Conversations with other people that own LG refrigerators regret purchasing them .

The feature I like the most is the icemaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's slim and contained within the door. The cubes are small and squarish as compared to the old fashioned large circular wedges. However it does tend to jam, and it can crush ice but the manual warns against using the crushing option! My fridge will be 10 years old soon and the water stopped dispensing recently. While still under warranty, the compressor had to be replaced.

Hello Harriet. We love to see a long term, loyal LG customer such as yourself. There are some simple tips you can do to prevent your ice maker from jamming. Infrequent use of the dispenser will cause the cubs to stick together over time, which creates an obstruction. Check the ice bin for any signs of clumping or sticking together and if so, break up the ice cubes. Next thing to keep an eye out for is whether or not the delivery chute is clogged with frost or ice fragments. You can eliminate the frost or ice fragments by removing the ice bin and clearing the chute with a plastic utensil.
In regards to your water dispenser, that issue can be caused by a locked dispenser panel, kinked or blocked water supply line, or the doors are not closing properly. To unlock the dispenser panel, press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds and that should resolve the issue. I would also doublecheck the refrigerator and fridge seals around the doors and make sure that there are no gaps. And lastly check the tubing and make sure that the water lines are open fully and not kinked. ^Jennifer

Nice Refrigerator, three drawers are bad design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three drawers are virtually too small. Cannot fit any large produce like stalks of celery or heads of romaine, Also need to open both doors to access the middle drawer.

Your refrigerator is designed to run more efficiently to keep your food items at the desired temperature. The high efficiency compressor may cause your refrigerator to run longer than your old one, but it is still more energy efficient than previous models. While the refrigerator is running, it is normal to hear a pulsating or high-pitched sound. ^Jennifer

I bought this in 2013. Compressor replaced in 2015. Now it’s 2022-compressor out again. Can’t believe going to scrap a 9 year old refrigerator!,,,,
