Great space and layout for counter depth

I purchased this counter depth french door fridge to replace my large side by side unit. Can a fridge be super sexy...but this one is! I wasn't sure about a french door fridge with the freezer on the bottom and bending over but the drawers are laid out in such a way it's actually EASIER to get into than my side by side was. I love this fridge! I have a lot of storage room on the inside as well as on the inside of the doors for the condiments. The only negatives are really just annoyances. The beeping when the doors are open for longer than 30 seconds can be a tad annoying when I'm putting groceries away and the left side of the fridge door will slam shut unless you have it open far enough. At times my ice has been hard to dispense . Overall this is a great fridge that was designed well and the lighting on the inside isn't overbearing.

We love our new frig and especially appreciate how much food it holds for a counter depth model! We've had several other counter depth units and this is the first to easily accommodate a lot of food!
The lower freezer holds much more than it looks like due to the three compartments. They're very easy to access and all the contents are visible.

We've had our counter depth LFX25991ST for a couple of months now and are really enjoying its features. While being counter depth does cut into the interior depth a bit the fridge is laid out very nicely such that the usable space is maximized. It is a great looking appliance as well and the interior lighting is superior. Adds a lot to our kitchen. Being adjacent to our den we hear everything coming from the kitchen and this refrigerator is a pleasant surprise relative to noise as well. Nicely done LG!

Great counter depth fridge!

I did a lot of research before settling on this refrigerator. Because of the design of my kitchen I needed counter depth. I don't quite understand why they charge more money for a refrigerator that is less deep than the standard refrigerators but other than the price I'm really happy with it. I've only had it for about a month and a half now but I love the features. I particularly like the storage saving icemaker that's built into the refrigerator door. For small refrigerator does this held all my food for a very large Italian Christmas dinner. If you are Italian you know this is a lot of food! The other thing I really like about them one thing that sold me on it versus the Samsung I was considering is that it is very quiet. My refrigerator is located about 2 or 3 feet away from my kitchen table so this was very important to me. The one minor complaint I do have is that the pedals for the water and ice dispensers scratch very easily. I actually now applied a clear protective sheet, similar to the one used for my iPad, to keep it from scratching any more. It is hardly visible and has done the trick. If it weren't for this I would have given the refrigerator five stoats across the board

We have a small kitchen so we bought this counter depth refrigerator so it would not take up too much space in the kitchen. It fits well but we do not feel like we sacrificed interior space over our previous refrigerator. The ice and water dispenser is well thought out and allows you to fill a large mug or container quite easily. We can fill the large container for our coffee maker without using a smaller container to transfer the water.

Fridge is OK but Ice Maker is an embarassment

Purchased at the very strong suggestion of the sales person. Looks nice and shelving is adequate but the ice maker is a joke. First fridge had an ice maker which did not work at all. Replaced entire refrigerator and then we were told it would take at least 24 hours to fill a very small bin. Must be why they added a second bin to the drawer of the freezer. Slowest ice maker in the world and here in Arizona we need ice! It does not even produce enough on its best days for my husband alone. Now it is less than a year old and the ice maker must be replaced again. Really! The repairman told us that the ice maker is a problem on these LG's and he wishes the salespeople would warn customers about the slow production.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice counter depth fridge, but could be improved

First, the stainless steel front is very shiny, but is resistant to fingerprints. The drawers are not layed out well. The veg/fruit should be 2 drawers, not three, so that each can be accessed by one of the exterior doors. The center drawer is too small to hold much and requires opening both door to access. Also, it cannot be set to fruit or vegetable like the other two. By contrast, the deli drawer is too big. It too should be two drawers so it can be accessed with only one door open. Due to its width, it does not slide in and out smoothly without careful pressure applied on both sides. Also, both doors have to be open to access it. That said, the rest of the layout is quite good. And, most importantly, it seems to keep consistent temperatures in the fridge and freezer. We have owned the fridge for a month, so I cannot comment on durability. Also, we do not use the ice maker since we have a separate ice machine. Overall, this is a good counter depth fridge, but not a great one.

Terrific all around

Beautifully styled and engineered. Lots of fridge and freezer storage capacity. Definitely exceeded our expectations. We elected for the automatic ice and water dispenser. Glad we did. Works really well. We have seen other dispensers where the ice and water fly all over. Not this one. A true delight.
Overall we are very happy and highly recommend this model.
