I bought this dryer 2 years ago, still so solid. I would suggest though that dryer wall could be made strong

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after reviewing 6months ago. Granted I reviewed other saying they had for 6 months then broke. So far it hasn’t given me any issues. Large drum for drying all bedding. Good product from a good manufacturer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible quality. We had an older dryer that was nearly 20 years old (from previous owners) and still functioned great, we only replaced it with this Samsung dryer to update the look when we remodeled the laundry room. We loved it at first, and have used it maybe once every 7 to 10 days.... we travel a lot too, so at times may go 3 weeks without using it. In barely 2 years its already broken!! Four months ago it started making terrible screeching sounds, like metal grinding, then banging and whizzing noises. Its so bad we can't run it when we're in the house, now we're afraid it may catch on fire (whatever metal is grinding). We now have the pay $100 + parts & labor for someone to come fix it. If it was 5 or 8 years old sure, but less then 2 years and not often used? I'm also an interior designer and have purchased many appliances for clients and they have all lasted far longer. I will likely not buy Samsung again given how quickly this broke down. Its very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So I absolutely loved this dryer and my washer, but, the dryer is just over two years old and suddenly when I turn it on it has a high pitch squealing (like metal on metal) for about 2-3 minutes. I would understand if this was 10+ years old, but really? 2 years and I have to replace parts already? Really not happy. I bought Samsung because it is a reputable brand and company, did not expect this from Samsung products
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice dryer

Had to replace the motor just after my warranty expired (only had it for 3 years). When it runs, it dries quickly. Love that it senses the wetness of clothes & doesn't overdry them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Heating Element Error at 16 mos!

it is so efficient that most loads i dry on low heat. but unexpectedly at 16mos i get a heating element error. if you get this dryer, get the extended warrantee!!!!!

Failed twice in 3 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we've had this dryer little over 3 years and i've had to replace the idler pulley twice. it's a faulty design that ultimately leads to a terrifying screeching noise and a complete failure.

Do Not Buy - Dangerously Broke

less than 5 years old, 3 repairs needed, this one costing $400. i gave up on it. the 2nd repair was for an "extremely dangerous" electrical malfunction. samsung doesn't seem to back up the product.
