worked fine for a while, it no longer heats and trying to locate a replacement part due to so many variants for this model has been impossible. no help on website and too many variants on the internet to make anourchase to repair the unit. heater coil element assembley is out.

Bad dryer and breaks often

we have had 4 service calls on this dryer in last 4 years. it breaks down every year, and so far we have replaced, belts, heating coil, dryer pulley... i can't believe how bad this product it. with two smalls kids we need a reliable dryer. i will not recommend this to anyone, and will be looking to buy another brand soon. do not buy this!

do not by this washer or dryer. i've had this washer and dryer set for only 5 years and since the first year we had to replace, the heating element, the main computer board, wait balancers, and its very loud and now it only dry's most of the time on the 40 min cycle and it leaves brown burnt marks on wight clothing. I keep this dryer cleaned and always keep the lent compartment clean. samsung came out on a one time repair only for the computer board and broke the clips that held in in place. very upset i am going to set them at the. The washer also had lots of issues.

Repairs after 3 years

like a lot of these reviews, i would not recommend this dryer.
it appears to have the same problems as others posted. had it a little over 3 years and the control board is already bad. getting a de code and the dryer never stops running after it hits 1 minute left. if even uses heat on the air fluff setting not. major safety issue from my perspective.
beside it's not working anymore, the control panel is positioned slighty upward so when stacked, it's hard to see the controls and i am 6'2"

Gas Leak

Had this dryer for a couple of years. There is a gas leak coming from inside the drum. This is a safety hazard and have since removed it from the house. Do not buy.

saw someone call this thing a cheese grater because it tore apart clothes. i was having the same issue with towels. thought it was cheap towels i was buying as animal bedding. this thing continually needed to be hit on the side to make work, and finally just stopped and burned clothes one day. even small loads never got dry in first 139 minute run. only maybe 6-7 years old and i'm throwing it to the curb.

A working dryer is vital, as we don't have to hang clothes for air drying. We're here to help with your Samsung appliance.
If your dryer is heating, but the clothes are still damp, your vent is probably blocked. If your dryer has weak heat and runs for a long time, that could also be a clogged vent. And if your dryer ends after only a couple of minutes with soaking wet clothes, your moisture sensors could be dirty. We recommend checking the links below to troubleshoot.

Heating element and/or thermal fuse keeps blowing

Dryer has worked well for 4 years, then stopped heating. I did all my research and ultimately replaced the entire heating element. After 6 months, the thermal fuse blew, replaced it again - blew 2x more times. Checked and cleaned all the exhaust/lint functions - all clean. Replaced the thermal fuse, blew again. I replaced the moisture sensor just to be sure, thermal fuse blew again. At this point I have checked everything possible and think it is a control board issue or something. Wife wants me to bring in a repair man, but I am fairly handy and fully understand what I am looking at along with having watched 100's of youtube videos.....this just doesn't make sense. Guess this think is just dead.
