I think the Black and Decker home appliances are the best for their price range. I purchased this product two years ago, and it has been working very hard ever since. The only thing that it cannot do is knead bagel dough-I tried that in mine, and the smoke poured out of it-but after a day's worth of cooling off, it was fine. Even though I leave my appliances unplugged every night, I still appreciate the interlock system for safety. I think this is an amazing product, and I enjoy it every day. The only thing I would change about this product is the tiny crevices in the parts that are difficult to clean-as in the inside tip of the slicer, or the area inside the lid by the feeder tube. Not all of us have a dishwasher! It also leaks if filled to a certain point, but this is outlined in the booklet that comes with it, so I wasn't displeased with that. I make everything from laundry soap to dinner with this product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very very cheap

All the reviews are correct. They should make these in the United States and they should make them with good sturdy parts that aren't going to fall apart. Plastic disintegrates and for the life of me I cannot figure out why Black & Decker with self such a cheap product!

Loud, hard to clean, too many parts, disk broke

Have to wear headphones while using (very loud).
Leads large pieces of food un-grated and floating around on top of grating disk.

After the struggle to assemble, it works well

I use the food processor 3 or 4 times a year at most. Every time I take it out, it takes 20 minutes or more to assemble it. Understandably, the device will not work if all parts aren't in position correctly. But there are too many moving parts. If not assembled correctly, it's like solving a rubrics cube puzzle to figure out which piece is not in place.
The parts are fragile and break easily.
I bought similar (smaller) Black and Decker unit over 20 years ago. It worked until a year ago. It was easily assembled and much sturdier.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only have it since August, disk broke

I bought this model in August. It's only December and the white middle piece from the shredding disk broke off the metal circle. Of course, it can't be brought back this late. I expect to have a food processor last longer than 3 months! I had my last one about 20 years! This one is pretty complicated too.

Broken Cover/Lid! How to replace it?

Disk broke

I bought this food processor a few months ago. I was very disappointed with it. It doesn't clean well at all. Food particles get caught in hard to clean places. Today the slicing disk broke in the middle where the plastic is. My daughter bought the same one and isn't happy with it either. Too many parts to put together and can't get it clean.
