Unique Design that works for us.

Excellent value for a counter depth and small family fridge. This replaced a 25 year old side-by-side (not Samsung). This French Door fridge wowed us on the design compared to other units on display. This was also one of the few refrigerators that would fit through our doorways on an older house. Pros: Quiet compressor on our unit can hardly tell when it is running. The most noise occurs when the icemaker, located in the refrigerator section, drops ice. And after you close the freezer drawer there is fanlike noise that sounds like air is being sucked in drawing the drawer shut. There is plenty of adjustable space. Once the fridge has cooled down it works great.
Cons: There is WiFi connectivity through and App that appears to be for Android phone, of course I own an IPhone and the App on available does not appear to work. The App is supposed to give you some control over the temperature and refrigerator settings. If I ever get an android phone I might be able to try it. Wi-Fi was not advertised when we purchased the fridge and was not part of our decision making on purchasing it. You must make sure you close the doors and drawer since the door mechanism is not like tradition doors where the doors will self close if you push them in the right direction. On this fridge they stop about 4-7 inches from closing and you have push past this point. If you set up or live in a very humid and warm area as did/do it can take up to 24 hours to stabilize. Also when our fridge was installed it took over 1 hr for the Refrigerator to start cooling down and over 2 hrs for the freezer temperature to start lowering. We also experienced a lot of moisture in both the fridge and freezer section for the first week. We would have a towel handy for the fridge and the freezer section when the defrost cycle was on. As the room temperature lowered the moisture problem pretty much disappeared. We have got in the habit of once or twice a day emptying the ice maker into to a container in the freezer to build up a surplus of ice cubes. Occasionally we may empty the icemaker tray and have to use the saved ice or buy a bag to put in the freezer.
All that being said we do like our new fridge and hope to get many years use out of it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, plenty of room
Cons: wi-fi not user friendly

Really nice refrigerator

After having a 23 cf side x side for the last 14 years, there is so munch more usable space in this model. We especially like the large freezer drawer. We never had enough freezer space, now we rarely fill it over half full. Our old fridge, always really struggled to cool down after either being raided by the kids, or after putting groceries in after shopping. With the quick cool/freeze settings, this is a thing of the past and good riddance. Only two things I would change, if I could,. (1) The bottom drawer in the of the fridge portion is full width, which my wife loves, but you have to open both doors to access items in that drawer, ie; lunch meats, cheeses and other small items. I would divide that drawer into two, so you can open either side independently. (2) There is a spring loaded door stop on the fridge doors, which stop the door from closing all the way, you have to push the doors to close them. I would make them free swinging, so you let go of the doors, the doors close by themselves. The door alarm has saved me (and the kids) several times when the doors didn't completely close, but now I (they) remember. We haven't shopped for a fridge for many years, and were surprised by the innovations and frankly the price, refrigerators have gone through over the years. We really did our homework before making our purchase, reading reviews on many consumer sites, talking to salesmen, and more importantly, appliance repairmen (to find out which ones to avoid), we found one that stood out from the crowd, which would provide what we needed. We wanted space, easy access and sight to all parts of the fridge (no more lost mystery leftovers that get pushed to the back and forgotten) and one that would complement our recent kitchen remodel, and you can't forget about quality. Samsung has always been known for quality . We love our Galaxy S7's, TV, and Blue-ray player. For us, Samsung = quality......
Pros: Durable, very well lit interior, nightlight on the water despensor
Cons: small ice container

nice design from the packaging right to the ACTUAL fully installed use. Leveler legs could be better design the initial turning to adjust is too hard. I'd suggest a more rugged metal leg that can be turned with a simple open end wrench

I bought this two years ago and right after the warranty ran out the ice maker practically became worthless unless you want to defrost your refrigerator area every couple months. Also now there's a loud clicking noise that comes from the freezer section.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

Worst ice maker ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the ice maker broke just after the first year and the sensors for the fridge have gone out 3 times in the last 3 years leading to over-freezing the fridge. junk after only 4 years of use.

ice maker freezes up and cooling fan in fridge compartment is making noise because of ice build up. too many problems for a fridge that is only 4 years old.

The worst! Ice machine broken, leaks water, does not make any ice! Continually have to defrost the ice machine to get a day's worth of ice and then breaks again. We'll never buy a samsung appliance .

All the features are excellent. Food are at the proper temperature. Had to raise the temp of the freezer to 3 degrees cause my ice cream was a little bit hard. 3 degrees is just perfect.
