Horrible - won't buy Samsung Refrigerator again

Makes crackling noise randomly

Bought it 11 month ago from Best Buy, the fridge is good overall but the noise started about 6 month of owning. All of the sudden it sounds like someone is pouring cold water on a hot surface but 3 times as loud. It happens 2-3 times a day. Finally I have 1 month left on my warranty so I called to set up a service but apparently they are closed Saturdays. Well see what they say when they come out. Also I hear water dripping inside the fridge which is kind of annoying even my wife said something about that, occasionally the water drips and I checked and looks like its coming from the back. I will mention this to the service tech. Also I don't really like the space inside the fridge, Its just weird nothing fits in there, I guess I will have to take couple shelves off. Also the right door has to be opened first, at least that's what it feels like. I think its too early for the unit to go south I always recommend Samsung TVs to my customers but MAN appliances I will not

Terrible product - listen to the reviews

I should have listened to the other reviews. This is a pretty fridge, but the functionality is terrible. The ice maker has constant problems and if you read on the web it is not just me.
My last fridge was a Samsung and it was great for 7 years and I went with the brand again. This time I spent more money only to get a lemon. This has a sticker price that should hold higher quality.

Ice unit went out after 4 years..

Our fridge is 4yo. Recently ice unit went out, I searched internet and looks like it is common problem. Last week it is started to freeze food in fridge... To much for 4 years old refrigerator, poor reliability.

The samsung frig with french doors has ice maker issues. Until they certify they have a version that has fixed the issues, i would stay away.

Will never buy Samsung again, Ill explain

Have heard good things about Samsung so I bought this fridge, year 2 its decides to freeze up to the point the fridge is not usable, as well while waiting for service it had a catastrophic failure and water began to pour from the unit onto our hardwood floors which buckled and now we have that additional expense. So we cook most days thus we need fresh food so lost all of our food during this event as well we are no on our 2nd trouble ticket for the same thing, we get 4 times and then maybe get a credit to buy another fridge. Here is exactly why I won't buy any of there products again: I asked the tech if they tested the failed components when removing them, he said no. I asked did Samsung tell you if the failed component is truly bad when you send it back to the factory, he said no. So I asked, then how in the heck do you know what is bad? Or what the real problem is? No response... My point is if Samsung doesn't want to know or fix the problem then this is a way to do that. However they lost a good customer for life. My plan now is to buy a old fridge and have it reconditioned then I won't deal with this again, it means giving up a digital dashboard and water/ice from the door but so what. I want to go on vacation and not think about my fridge going out. Samsung you messed up, and eventually you will go down if you keep running your company like this..

Icemaker Stinks

I am very happy with the refrigerator but the icemaker is horrible. It never made very much ice. We would use ice and then have to wait a while until there was more. Now it freezes up constantly and the drawer gets stuck frozen shut. Don't recommend.
