Not a good door design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just installed this microwave above the range. The door frame is stainless steel and the plastic "window" part of the door is black. What you don't find until installation and first use is the black "window" is solid except for about 3 inches in the center that is open to see inside! You can't even see the turntable at the bottom. And since it's above the range you can't see at all unless you are tall. This is a deal breaker for me. I want to be able to see/check on my food while cooking. Especially with melting butter/chocolate/etc, you need to be able to see it. Too bad we wasted the time to install this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good microwave, but some design flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would be interested if LG would explain why the viewing window was changed. Unfortunately, I didn't read these reviews before replacing my previous LG microwave with this one. Also, it was extremely annoying that my old LG, LMV1813ST which lasted 8 years, had three screws in the top and this model, which is the same width, has two screws in different locations, required new holes to be drilled in the cabinet. I purchased another LG, expecting the same features and an easy installation and was disappointed. Also, the previous microwave had two lights over the stove and this only has one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall a good microwave except for loud fan.

Overall this is a good microwave. It's a good size for our needs and has features we like.
The only complaint is that the fan sounds like a boat motor at high speed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a little over a month ago. It is a great microwave. The inside is much larger than my last one, lot more powerful common this in my opinion is the best microwave I've ever used.

1) anyway, the dark grey inside finish is much more gloomy that I had anticipated!
2) there's no "quick select" options, eg: pressing 1 on the keypad for 1 min, press 2 for 2 mins, etc - very disappointing! now I actually have to LEARN how to operate it!
3) viewing window too small and not placed in a reasonable location
4) LED display is too small
overall, VERY disappointing! does NOT meet expectations!

Hello and sorry the microwave does not meet your expectations. There is a quick 30 second on button that can be pressed 1 time or multiple times for fast cooking and there is also a CUSTOM COOK button that lets you to recall one cooking instruction previously placed in memory and begin cooking quickly. ^AC

Can't see inside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottom half the the microwave window obscures the interior view. You have to be a least 6 feet tall to see what is gong on inside. I would not have bought this model if i know that it had this serious defect in design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Microwave emitted its last electromagnetic wave after only 2 years of service. The undersized magnetron just couldn't keep up with a residential load and it simply faded away. I suspect that this is a low consumer grade piece that is intended to look good but not function well.

tiny window

This Micro has ONLY a 3 inch window which is not noticeable in the store when you purchase. When you run the micro at home, and it lights up inside, you can see only the top 3 inches inside. You CANNOT see the food on the carousel. Terrible for short people because this over-the-range micro is above eye level as it is. The 3 inch window makes it worse! Poor design! What benefit could there possibly be in giving us a tiny window!!!!
