Excellent Washer

This washing machine is the nicest one that we have ever owned and probably has more options than we will ever need to use! We installed it ourselves and it was a very simple process. We also love the way it looks. After looking at several other washing machines, we found that this one has the best stainless steel appearance.

Perfect for a Family of 5 or more!

Young Active Kids, lots of laundery. Previously, my wife and I had trouble keeping up with the dirties. We purchased both washer and dryer and cycle time is roughly cut in half. We have used this 3 months and I still feel steadfast in my purchase and feel enjoyment knowing the task of laundry is not so going to be stressful when it piles up a little (or a lot!). It has eliminated the overwhelming feeling. Let me comment on the operations - clothes are cleaner, smell better, and the units run so quietly that even though our wash/dryer is in the hallway between the kid's bedroom room, we can run it while putting them to bed. My syster purchased the same units that are few years earlier, she has 4 kids. No problems at all. Clean Tub Cycle works great, and Towel and Bedding options are also nice. These units are a little more, but if you relate to the above - no brainer.

If you are looking for a GREAT washer you can stop looking!! So far this is the best washer we have ever had and we have had alot!! Just love the turbo wash!!

I had to leave my former LG behind when I sold my house. I wasn't happy about the prospect of replacing what I thought was a great washer by LG. Boy was I wrong, LG improved on it's product beyond my expectations. Cleaner clothes, less time doing laundry plus a steam option and I don't have to clean my washing machine as often as before because of the feature allowing airflow after usage.

We bought this LG washer for our new house. We upgraded to the stainless steel hoses which may have been a mistake. Every time the washer adds water (and it does so in phases) it tightens the hoses which causes them to bang on the back end of the washer and make a loud noise. I had to wrap the hoses with a towel just so they don't bang together so much.
Aside from the banging of the hoses with the water, the machine is also loud during the cycle itself. Also, I often see a drip line going down the front of the machine which makes me believe the seal is not very good.
One of the main issues I have with this washer is that most all of the wash settings default to "warm water." I don't like washing in warm water and prefer cold water. I have to manually change the water temp for each load and wish there was a way to reset the default to cold water.
Overall, I put the noise aside and am very pleased with this unit and my clothes do come out very clean and fresh. I do think LG needs to make a few tweaks to get this unit a little better, but the washing capabilities are wonderful so at least they got that right!
