Incredible Printer!

From the time I unboxed the Epson Workforce 4530, I was amazed at the simplicity of the machine. Even taking it out of the box was a joy. I didn't have to search for a place to grab the unit to lift it out of the box.
This machine was incredibly easy to set up. I am using it with my MacBook Pro, a Mac Mini, an iPod Touch and an iPad 2. All devices work flawlessly!
The print speed is astounding. Unparalleled to any other unit I've printed with in the past, including laser jets. The operation of this machine is extremely quiet as well as it is fast.

I would rate this printer a 9 out of 10. If the ink was a little cheaper I'd give it a 10! Still not bad considering the ink yield this unit offers.

This is a good all in one

This printer is great! Prints faster than any printer i ever had. Havent had a chance to fax and only problem we have had is the paper jams. But we believe its the result of cheap paper. My wife is a school teacher and this Epson scans great for her. Very simple to set up for wireless

Easy Peasy Nice and Easy

My old printer (one of those camera companies) passed on with a case of an unresolvable error code. Fortunately, my new Epson made it's entrance in less than two days. Wow! Setup took about 30 minutes without a hitch. The build and material quality is way beyond anything I've had in a long time. I was printing and scanning immediately and everything worked perfectly.

Easy Set Up

Though a little lengthy (it takes 12 minutes to "prime" the color cartridges), it's easy to set up. Simply follow instructions.
The paper tray and slide out paper holder are flimsy. I had an Artisan 810 all-in-one and those poorly constructed items finally just broke from overuse, though we were always careful. Epson should make these items more solid; perhaps lose the pull-out paper tray for something more advanced.
Like the two-sided printing, but remains to be seen if this is the production machine Epson claims it to be.
The thing does make some funny clicking noises before starting to print. What is that?
Overall, a good all-in-one for the price.

Difficulty Setting Up

I just received the WP-4530 a couple days ago. The setup disc was showing to have compatibility issues with my Windows 7. I ended up calling Epson's customer trouble-shooting service and they walked me through the online installation of the "Combination Drivers Package" and were very helpful. It is working well now and I am very impressed with the quality. Epson needs to check into the setup disc problem.

This is a terrific printer. I've blasted through a bunch of printers that ended up freaked out and fried. I was disgusted with ink cartridge problems. I have been saved by my Epson printer! It is very easy to use the printer/scanner features. It doesn't jam paper. It doesn't smear the ink. It's fairly fast and (I love this part) it's quiet. It doesn't suck up huge amounts of ink, either. I've had an error message a few times about reseating one of the ink cartridges. But it's easy to deal with.
The very best thing about my Epson printer occurred when I first brought it home. The entire thing was very well packaged and simple to unpack. All of the info about installation, type of cartridges, paper etc. is attached to the front of the unit. No more crawling around trying to find some obscure code or something. I had a minor problem with the installation disc but the website had the solution. This is the best printer I've ever had...and I've had lots of crummy to marginal other brands. Thanks, Epson.

epson falls short with ink

the ink cartridges magenta cyan and yellow are way to small. The black is fine but the others are just not big enough. making the cost way to high

No Regrets that I bought this printer!

Have been using printer for a couple of months. Easy to set up, great for wireless set up, have done a fair amount of printing, and haven't had to replace cartridges yet. Have printed labels, documents, and made copies w/o a problem. Have used the fax machine and it's also fine. Just make sure your paper tray is full or you have to pull out the rear tray b/c of paper jam error message. So happy that I purchased this, rather than the HP I almost bought! Absolutely no regrets that I purchased this printer.
