Good printer, nice features, harder to set up on a Mac with Lion installed than I expected. Compared to the previous epson I purchased, it was a bit of a chore. AirPrint features are spot-on.

I absolutely love this printer! Glad I made the purchase, it does everything I need it to do without any problems. Copying is great, even the 2 sided copying! Faxing is great also, my only problem with this printer is that sometimes the fax gets hung up. Not when faxing tho, this is a problem that happens if the fax answers sometimes on a non fax call. Turning off the printer solves the problem, and it releases the line. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5!

It is what it is...

I have loved my Epson Color Laser printer because of its quality printing for my business. I have always looked at inkjet printers as inferior to color lasers except when using photo paper. However, when an issue came up with my old Epson printer that was no longer supported, I was stuck with a large paperweight! So, I had to buy something new.
Although I searched for Laser printers, this was all that was offered by Epson for business use like mine. Reviews for this were great and I trust Epson to have good quality products. The description said "...the WorkForce Pro WP-4530 delivers professional quality output ...", so I bought it.
What do I think of it? It is what it is...an ink jet printer that prints black and white just fine and color that is accurate, but not crisp. Noting the lack of crispness in the photos on my real estate listing flyers, I quickly ordered a case of higher-end Epson paper with only marginally better results. Too bad...now I have to get my flyers, etc. printed professionally. So, the advertised savings in print costs actually became an increase for me.
I did indicate that I would recommend this printer to others...as long as they do not need professional quality color clarity. The scanner is awesome, the size is compact and in every other way it performs swimmingly. So, I repeat...it is what it is...and I wish that a simple paper jam had not crippled my old printer.

I set this printer up on my wireless network and although the printing worked fine, I was unable to fax or scan. After quite a bit of frustration, I was able to find out that you had to download some fireware and updated drivers to make the event manager and scanner work. I feel this should have been included on the disk. Other than that the printer seems to work fine.

I'm an idiot when it comes to computers and printers and scanners and, well, you get the idea. I have a Mac because that's about all I can manage. I had some trepidations about setting up this printer wirelessly, but it was a breeze...really. I skipped the fax part of the set-up because I'm using an internet fax service (which i heartily recommend). The scan function works from my Mac, as opposed to from the printer screen. But that worked out, too. Because I run Mountain Lion, I had to download the drivers as opposed to using the enclosed disc. I did some on-line research before I bought this baby, and the reviews were on the money.

Great printer

Well, despite the fact that the first one we purchased had a few "hardware malfunctions" (as per their representative), the second one we purchased has been working great for a couple weeks now (I'll cross my fingers now...I've had extremely bad luck with printers lately). It prints clearly, doesn't jam, lines are lined up, papers aren't ripping, etc...which were all of the problems I've encountered lately with other printers...
I would buy another one. :)
