Poor picture printing

I have owned the printer for a few months now. Ink cost is low, print quality is very good for black printing but for color printing is not that good, particularly photos. I print a lot of cards with a picture of the person and the quality of the color printing is very bad. I might be forced to buy another printer because of this.

Excellent Customer Service

I had an issue of my own creation when installing the print driver, (I did not disable the firewall). I contacted the Epson support number included with the installation instructions and they walked me through the step by step install including the wireless connection and the printing of a test page. The support number was easy to find which is not always true with technology. This Epson Workforce 4530 is replacing two other printers and I am very happy with my purchase decision.

printer will not stay online

when I bought the printer, it worked good. Installation fast. Then, I updated the firmware. Now, it will not connect to the computers wirelessly. I fix it, then it works once, and will not print a second time. Using it manually, it works ok. Also, constantly draws in more than one page at a time. this makes printing double sided a difficult proposition.

Just got it home setup wasn't to bad but the thing sounds like someone is tring to start a car everytime it prints.
the rear paper feeder doesn't seem to be woking right.
When i load it the paper goes all the way in. No stops.wont print 4x6 photo paper. Feeds all 4 or 5 sheets at once. Looks like the paper stops are stuck in the retracted mode.

Disappointed

The print quality is good, but I don't like that you can't choose to use the rear tray when making a copy. I have several things that I need to copy and put on card stock and this printer will not allow me to do that. It must be scanned to the computer first then printed which are extra steps that I don't like having to do.

My Second Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4530 All-in-One P
on December 15, 2013

from Trumbull, CT
This is my second Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4530 All-in-One Printer. I purchased my first Wp-4530 on 12-9-2011.
I own and use 3 separate Epson Printers, WP-4530, R800R and 3000R. I use the WP-4530 as my every day, everything printer. The other two I use for photography.
During the week of October 27 the WP-4530 started leaking yellow ink. I replaced the yellow cartridge and it continued to leak ink. I called Epson support and explained my problem. My warranty was up and I was looking for a place that could fix the problem. I was told that they would replace the printer at no cost to me. They would send me a new printer, and I should pack up the old printer in the box that the new printer came in and send it back. The even paid for the return shipping labels that were included.
I received the new printer on Nov.8, 2013. However, I was unable to set the printer up until Nov.22, 2013 due to ink cartridge problems. When they sent the new printer it included 4 ink cartridges. I was told to send back the ink cartridges that were in the 1st printer when it malfunctioned. Three of the four print cartridges did not work with the new printer. I had to call Epson support and the sent me replacement cartridges. (Note: when I set up the 1st printer I encountered the same problem, two of the four cartridges failed at setup).
Since I Have set this printer up on Nov. 22, 2013 it works great. I really like this all in one. I like Epson printers and over the years I have had very few problems that I was unable to fix myself. I was impressed with Epson that they replaced my printer after the warranty had expired. RDF

Initially a great printer. Setup easily for wireless use. After less than two weeks of use Epson released a printer firmware update that took away ALL network connectivity, both Ethernet and wireless. After 3 hours of trying could not get it to even turn on wireless or wired Ethernet again! USB printer driver only offers a few of the preferences of the wireless or wired Ethernet printer drivers. Almost worthless for me now! Don't do a firmware update! (I'm an IT Pro and have successfully done firmware updates on many devices, just not this printer).
