Super printer. Rather difficult to set up wi-fi. The instructions are correct that a USB for the first setup is necessary. Nice quality of print. Super photos. Doesn't have a icon for scan features. Have to resort to System Preferences on Macs. Has an issue with iPhoto. For some reason the printer indicates "No Paper or Jam" when you attempt to print a picture from iPhoto. It prints photos fine from other sources such as Preview.

Exceeds My Expectations

I researched a lot of All-In-One reviews before deciding on the 4530. Scanning and printing wirelessly were my basic requirements but ADF and Duplex were high on my list of wants. I am a casual user and will utilize all of the features except the fax. The printer is plenty fast enough and handles duplex printing with ease. The ADF has performed flawlessly even in duplex mode. I noticed that scanning with a wireless connection is pretty slow. Fortunately scanning to a USB stick circumvents that issue. Setup with my new Win8 computer did require Epson telephone support. The written procedure for a wireless connection simply didn't work for me. Fortunately the telephone support was first rate. In a matter of 5 minutes they had the scanner recognized and working wirelessly.

Good Printer and Scanner

Very good printer, had over year and have not changed cartridge yet and it is still printing with the very low ink warning, letting me use all the in the cartridge, yah for the drivers. Only issue had was had to clean heads a few times, when printer was not used for a while. Epson is often updating the firmware and drivers giving confidence in product support. Scans good too, but a little slow in copying and scanning on usb, but does a fine job for a printer/scanner in this price range. Highly recommend.

Great Printer for the price
on March 10, 2013

I have had this printer for a couple of months now. I got a great deal on it, and for the price, I think it can't be beat. I was a little worried about going with an ink jet, as I had been looking at all-in-one laser printers, but my fears were unnecessary. No smudging, very crisp text, incredibly fast output, and it even does half-decent photos. I had no trouble setting it up on my network, and the duplexing works well, as advertised. I'm still using the supplied starter ink cartridges and the replacement cartridges are very reasonably priced considering how long they last. Overall a great printer, and it looks built to last.

This printer will sometimes put out many blank pages before you finally get the pages that you wanted.Other than that the printer works very well.

Poor on Card Stock
on July 12, 2013

Good General Printer with normal paper, but will not print card-stock from the paper tray, and after 400 sheets of card stock (postcards) from the back paper feeder, it started misfeeding, and after 500 I had to stand by it and nearly hand-feed the card stock, and after 600 sheets, I gave up.
Does anyone make a printer that will handle card stock the ways it handles paper? Frustrated Desktop Publisher!

Its a ok printer

I have always liked Epson printers, this printer is fast and it prints 2 sided for saving paper, but it doesn't print photos too well. I am greatly disappointed that it stated it would print photos, and it does print them but the quality is not too good, going to have to buy a printer just for photos.

Back paper feeder keeps jamming
on August 20, 2013

I have a lot of problems with getting paper jams when I am printing something other than plain computer documents on paper.
**Photo printing causes jams. I use the correct paper & load it correctly in the back, but still get jams.
If I use my iPad or iPhone to print 1/3 times it jams.
Very frustrating, because I enjoy printing pictures.
