1st one DOA, 2nd one great

The first printer I bought was DOA. I couldn't even complete the setup because it wouldn't recognize two of the ink cartridges. I returned to the store and exchanged it for a different one, and it went just fine. The initial setup went smoothly and it has been working well. It is so much faster than a competitor printer I had. The document feeder runs smoothly. The other printer feeder broke pretty quickly. I didn't bother getting it fixed because it didn't feed all that well--more than one page sent thru, jammed. I love the 2-sided copies. The two trays holding 500 sheets keeps me from adding paper all of the time. I haven't used the back tray yet, but I know my daughter will be sending cardstock through anytime. I am so happy that it is separate from the other trays. I don't know how many times I printed something and discovered that my daughter had left cardstock in the printer. I was highlighting yesterday, and the print did not run at all. The print is so clear and even. I hope this printer continues to perform as well as it does now. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I had to take the first one back.

Easy installation

Had a prior model of Epson printer. Just had to unplug the other printer and plug in to the new one and setup online. Couldn't be any simpler!

to start with it easy set up, overall the best I ever seen, ink last a long time ,very low maintance,no problems so far print quality is superb.

Good printer, not perfect

I've used this printer for about 6 months now and so far it's been a very good printer. I went to this printer because the previous all in one printer that I was using (different company) had issues with sending and receiving some faxes. Thus far this machine has handled all of my fax jobs both big and small without any problem. The only issue that I have with the printer is because of the number of faxes I send and receive daily I prefer to send and receive faxes directly from my computer. This printer handles that very well except every morning I have to reset the process to send received faxes directly to my computer. The settings are all correct, I just have to remind the printer to send incoming faxes to my computer. Other than that the printer is great, ink usage is better than any other brand that I have tried and I've tried several. The multiple paper trays are very handy, I print forms from one and plain paper from the other while keeping envelopes stocked in the slot. The envelope tray doesn't hold a large quantity but my daily usage is within it's capacity so that's not a problem. Finally the print quality seems to be very good. I print a fair number of graphs and reports for clients and the presentation quality is excellent. Overall I've only used the printer for six months so that is a small sample size but so far it has been an excellent printer

A WORTHWHILE ADDITION

The quality and dependability of the WP-4540 has surpassed my expectations. It is easy to use and has been issue free. The print quality, I believe, has been better than my previous laser printer. I have used Epson printers since 1990 and highly recommend the WP-4540.

We bought this printer just about a year ago for a small office. It has been a very reliable printer. All the "xtra's" are nice too! Would definitely recommend.

I do a lot of scanning and printing and the printer is very user friendly. There is one thing I do not like about it, when I scan I always name what I scan, and the printer numbers everything I scan so after I save I need to rename what I am saving so I can delete the numbers, I wish there was a way to turn off the numbering of documents that are saved.
