It didn't work, I now have to return it. I run a business and have already disconnected my old all in one printer.

I like the printer but the scanner is so slow. I have two other Epson printers and both of them scan super fast. I thought this one would also but I was wrong. I would not buy it again for this reason.

This is my first Epson 4540 product. I am loving it thus far. It is a great instrument. My only wish is that the ink cartridges were just a little bit less expensive.

Epson WF-4540

I have used an astonishing number of different printers for my small home-based business and personal use. Most replaced with different brands or models even before purchased with the printer were used.
While I don't recommend the WF-4540 for printing quality photos use or sale. I can whole-heartedly recommend the WF-4540 for every other use. The printer comes with sample ink cartridges, that last longer then the normal cartridges the most printers sell.
I have never had a problem with the printer even using the Wi-Fi printing option, which has become the only method I use. Even our iPads print flawlessly with this printer. This is the one-and only printer I have ever recommended for others to consider purchasing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another Yellow ink blowout

I bought 2 WP-4540s for my business about 18 months ago. On the whole they have worked well, but they seem to go through ink very fast. About a week ago I noticed the color balance on any color printouts was way off. The yellow cartridge was low. I bought another genuine Epson yellow cartridge and replaced it.
When I did a test print, the page was covered in yellow ink. I cleaned the heads and tried another. It was also covered in blobs of yellow ink.
I can no longer print anything without the printer jamming. When I looked inside to clear the jam, the entire inside of the printer is covered with yellow ink. I will be contacting Epson to see what their response is and whether it is worth it to ever buy another Epson product.

Great concept Horrible Execution

I bought two of these printers.. one for my bosses office at his house.. Another one for the office.. The one for the house was DEAD ON ARRIVAL.. it would not get past the "choose english" part of the setup. I called Epson who confirmed it was bad so I had to pack the whole thing back up and take it back to the store and exchange it.
One for the office Made it two weeks before it started grabbing multiple pieces of paper every time you tried to print. So now it has to go back to Epson
If you rely on a laser printer .. KEEP RELYING ON IT. this is a typical lackluster quality inkjet.. It tries to pass itself off as a laser replacement with it's cost and dual paper trays but it has failed me in performance bigtime
Not to mention the life workload is rated at 20,000 prints.. So you save 40% on toner but then you have to buy a new printer more often.

This is the very worst printer that I have ever own. It constantly jams and is very unreliable. I encourage you not to waste your money on this printer.
