First I must say that I’m an Epson’s printers fan. I have purchase other printers before but presently I only have my Epson (R300 and R1800) printers. The Epson 4540 is an additional printer. When I pull the Epson 4540 out of the box it was bigger than I thought. I have had it now for about 2 weeks. I’m using it with my I-Mac and windows laptops but mostly with my I-Mac. It’s a good printer. It wasn’t hard to setup and I install the software on my MAC and several windows PCs. I have used this printer to create envelops for my daughter’s wedding, to print a double side document which works fine, and I’ve printed several photos on different media type paper which looks great. I was very impress with printing from my IPod using Epson IPrint too. So far the printer seems to print with no problems and I’m still figuring out different features on my printer. So for now yes, I would recommend this printer.

Best Multi-Purpose Office Ink-Jet Printer Printer!

So far, the Wp-4540 has been the best Multi-Purpose Office Printer we've had. We do moderate load of printing (3,000+ / mo. on this machine) and noticed that we don't have to change cartriges quite often. The cartriges are quite inexpensive which is a huge plus in keeping our operating expenses down! It was a wise purchase for us.

Not what I expected

For a top 10, this machine is slower and not able to print media. Not at all what I expected. Good little printer for the price if you just have basic stuff to print. It has worked well so far and for the money, I would get it for home or an extra printer but not for office main use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

yellow ink issue

Worked good for a about a year. But add me to the list of people having yellow ink issues. For a while it had problems printing yellow and now it leaks yellow profusely which makes the printer useless. I've had the printer a little over a year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a good office printer

For the first couple months this printer was fantastic and reliable. It has not even been a year since we've had the printer and we have issues with it constantly. Sometimes it won't want to copy something or the print quality it poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Printer/Copier

I like the extra paper capacity, printer options, and easy 2-sided copying. I was hoping for better scanning capability because I upgraded from a prior model. However, scanning quality is just as poor as my previous model.

Great Ink Printer

Have had printer for over six months. Initial print cartridges last much longer than other printer brands. Prints fast. Be weary of Microsoft driver updates for printer because for they cause problems with printing and create limited printing options. Stay with Epson drivers.

was really easy to set up an does a great job. Scanner does a good job an printer is fast Wi-fi is great an networking is a snap.
