Ready to go when you are

So far I love this printer. In the past ten years, I have probably gone through about six or more printers at home and three at work. Typically one or more of the capabilities does not work as expected right out of the box. The last product I purchased had the same capabilities, but took forever to prepare for printing, went through ink faster than I could purchase it and constantly jammed paper. This will be the second Epson printer I have purchased in my lifetime and so far, so good. It worked right out of the box. I was able to connect it wirelessly to my mac notebook (using the latest operating system). When I hit the print button, it prints. It doesn't take three minutes to prepare and think about it. I use it mostly for printing classroom materials. It hasn't touched the ink supply yet, which is fantastic. The scanner works brilliantly with no noticeable lines. I have not tested the photos yet, but I did not purchase it for that type of use. I love the extra tray holders and additional holder in the back to hold cardstock or whatever "special paper" you may have. I would Definitely recommend the printer. We researched and waited months looking for the right one and we found it.

Quite the Work Horse

I use it wirelessly (which was easy to set up and works flawlessly) with my Windows laptop,
Apple Notebook, Iphone and Ipad. The Iphone and Ipad did not require set up as they recognized the printer through Apple’s Airprint automatically.
It prints, copies, reduces, scans, and faxes effortlessly with straight forward logic.
I had one question not covered in the User Manual and the Tech support was great.

Easiest WiFi Printer I have every used

When my wife and I tried to print an important document that had to get faxed out that day and both of our printers were screaming no ink. I decided to purchase a heavy duty backup printer that would have the dependability of the old laser printers and the same inexpensive operating cost.
Purchasing this printer was like buying a Ferrari Sports car to replace your occasionally broken down Chevy. It just does it all so much better that you want to drive it everywhere.

Great Printer, one little problem...

I have had a printer for several years and it was time to upgrade. Ink cost was killing me on the old one, and I have also developed a need for duplex printing.
I researched like crazy, and everything pointed to the Work Force line. I selected the top dog, and I am very, very pleased. Actually, you could add a few more very's.
Speed, quality, scanning, duplexing on scanning, copying and printing all work beautifully. The only caveat is this; I had the printer for about a month, and started getting the pop-ups telling me that ink was running low.
I learned a long time ago to run until I get a bad page. I paid for the ink , I would like to use it all. Now depending on my work load, in the past, I would get a week, maybe two after the warnings began.
With this printer it has been months; plural, yes, as in well over sixty days. Now I am not a high page count user, but hey, had I not stuck to my guns and waited for the bad page (still waiting by the way) I would have wasted ink; ink I paid for. Now the really amazing part is that these are the "starter" cartridges. How long are the "replacement" (even more ink) cartidges going to last?
The long and the short of it is this: I bought this printer on February 2nd. It has worked flawlessly, and at this point I have yet to change a single cartridge more than four months later. Bravo Epson, bravo. It performs as advertised. Fancy that!

Epson wp-4540

Installation of the product was a breeze. Software however was a little difficult. I have a MAC OS 10.7 and I didn;t know that you had to go through the disk one by one to install individual apps. I thought when the disk was inserted, it would install all the necessary components of the printer.

My best printer so far...

After purchasing my new iMac... I realized that I needed a new all-in-one printer; so I started doing some research and came upon the Epson WP-4540.
WOW - This is by far the best printer ever. I have used more than ten different printers in my life and this one is the king of printers!
Very easy to use.

Needs Windows 8 software

Good machine. Likes all the options. But can't use them in print mode since Epson hasn't updated software for windows 8. So I don't have full functionalty.

This is my second Workforce printer. The first is the WF 4530. It's performance has been exemplary. I maintain offices in each of my children's homes so that it does not matter which family I visit or how long. I can run my businesses in any of these locations. I have had approx 7 Epsons over the past 10 years. Whenever there is a higher performing model for my needs I shop wisely and get the best. The WF4540 is outstanding printing, scanning, copying or faxing it performs without flaw.
