A good product with some odd features

I read the Owner's Manual twice and listed several questions to ask the manufacturer who would know more about the product than would the seller. Here are the answers:
1) no shoes including slippers because of a balance issue - I have washed slippers with no problem, but they were part of a towels load. I haven't needed to wash tennis shoes so I don't have a report on them.
2) no excessive spa oils, creams or lotions - must wash in sink first; Personally, I think this refers to the sheets on the massage bed which I would not be washing (the spa would) so I think that this is a bit of over-kill for the average launderer.
3) no throw rugs - I have washed bath mats in the 'bedding cycle' because it is the only one with deep water which results in a slow wash speed (like delicates). That was successful so I have since washed indoor throw rugs with no problem.
4) only bedding in 'bedding' cycle - There was no mention of what cycle to put towels in so I asked. The answer was in the 'bedding cycle!'
5) different bleaches go in different dispensers - Only chlorine bleach goes in the left front dispenser. Color-safe (non-chlorine) bleach goes in the detergent dispenser along with the detergent. There was no good answer as to why this was so. I understand that the chlorine bleach would need to be diluted before reaching the clothes, but it wouldn't hurt the effectiveness of the color-safe bleach to be diluted since it is going to be diluted by the wash water anyway

Now for the ODD features:
1) The end-of-cycle music is about 30 seconds long and cannot be stopped by raising the lid - only by pressing the Power button. I was told that this cannot be changed.
2) The Delay feature measures when the load will finish rather than when you want it to start. Here is how I learned that. It was 1:45 pm. My power rate changes to off-peak at 7:00 pm so I loaded the washer and clicked Delay six times to delay start to 7:45 pm. It was a Bedding cycle which runs for 1 hour and 24 minutes. Imagine my surprise when the washer started at 6:21!!
3) The Self-Clean feature uses no cleansing agents. Every washer I have ever had required something. Repairmen have always told me that a cup of vinegar will do the trick rather than the expensive products on the market. I honestly don't know how clean it gets with only water.

It has taken a few washes to get used to these features. I wish that the bedding cycle wasn't quite so long and the end-of-cycle 'concert' was shorter, too. However, the clothes are coming out clean and thoroughly rinsed so I am at peace with the challenges.

Cons: end-of-cycle music

Finally an updated washer

We finally updated our washer. I was easily able to install myself. Directions for leveling the machine by just looking at the drum was not great so I got out my level and got it perfectly level that way. Hardly any noticeable shake during full spin. Installed myself with not much hassle. Machine plays cute tune when load is complete instead of a buzzing sound. Awesome capacity.
Pros: Inexpensive

I was in the market for a new washer and dryer. I decided to upgrade to something more energy efficient since my set was over 15 years old. I decided on Samsung after reading reviews and speaking with a friend. Very happy and satisfied. The difference it makes in you clothes is unbelievable.
Pros: good size for blankets, several featurs for different types of clothes, easy to use and program

We were looking for a washer that balanced price and features. This Samsung washer more than meets our expectations. It is quiet, has several wash cycles and a large tub. It even plays music tunes when it's done. I would recommend this without reservation.
