Looks Good

At 69 years of age I have owned many washers and this one is the WORST I have ever owned. Every time it tries to spin it's off balance. I open door and move wash around to re-balance load. Then the machine refills with water agitates for a few minutes drains and ruins what I have moved , then tries to spin and tells me it is Off balance again. It does this for hours and hours. Why won't it SPIN ONLY WHEN SENT TO "SPIN". You have a RINSE AND SPIN setting why does SPIN do the same thins???? I cant even just dry something without it going through all these wash cycles. I would like to take a sledge hammer to it. I WANT MY MONEY BACK THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK !!!!
Pros: good price if it worked right
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does Not Get Clothes Clean
on June 30, 2015
Posted by: DisgruntledBigtime
This washer has many great features and attributes. Unfortunately, the bottom line, which is to get clothes clean, is a total failure. We have read the manual, tried all the settings and can not find any way to get things clean! The basic flaw is the design, common to all the new top-loaders - no agitator. Without an agitator, the clothes waft gently around on the bottom of the tub in very little water (government requirement) and do not get truly washed.
In all fairness, this washer is probably no worse than any other of this design. However, due to lack of performance, we will be selling the set and searching for one of the older models with a true agitator so our clothes will get clean.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, does not get clothes clean
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bells & whistles, but does it work?
on May 31, 2015

My main concern is that it doesn't fill over the top of the clothes. I've taken things out after washing that felt completely dry, and there's no way the spin cycle is that good. I paused it once the wash cycle started, and saw that all of the clothes were not completely submerged. How then can I count on my clothes being clean? There's no middle rotator to make sure all of the clothes are pulled under. If this were not a problem, I would say it was great. This, however, is a huge problem for me. The one time I splurge on an appliance, I feel like it's a mistake and big waste of money, water, and electricity. I thought it was going to be energy efficient, but not at the expense of coming out with unclean clothes.
Unfortunately, it's too late for a return & refund.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy Ms. SamsungHQJune 16, 2015
Hi Kay312,

I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with your Washer. If you haven't done so already, please run the Calibration Mode as instructed in the User Manual. This will help to ensure the Washer is filling with the appropriate amount of water based on the weight of the load. Instead of an agitator that can add to the wear-and-tear on garments, the WA45H7200 and most other Samsung HE Top Loaders use a stainless steel pulsator to rotate clothes through the water. This model is also equipped with the AquaJet option which, when selected, showers water over the clothes from above, enhancing washing and rinsing performance. With a maximum spin speed of 1000 RPM, it isn't unusual for the majority of water to be extracted, leaving fabric feeling practically dry at the end of the cycle.

I hope this helps to resolve and alleviate your concerns.

Thanks for your feedback!
Ms. Samsung

Very Good Washer

I received this washer approximately three weeks ago and have used it 3-4 times per week. Overall, it is a very good washer and has some very nice features. It does not have any annoying buzzers but relies on musical notes instead. It works great on conserving water. It has a HUGE tub [recommended not going over 3/4 full], no agitator [the bottom has a different kind of device to move the clothes and water] and really wrings out the clothes on the spin HIGH cycle.
One thing I like about the machine is that it is made from recycled material.
The downside, for me, is that the water level is totally automatic. The same appears true for settings but you can change them prior to starting the washer. Another problem is the pullout tray for the soap and fabric softener. It looks easy in the instructions but I almost feel like I will nearly break it before it POPS out unexpectedly.
My biggest fear will be that with so many bells and whistles, something is much more likely to go wrong and will cost too much to repair. The motherboard alone must be quite expensive. I fail to understand why repair parts are more expensive than the original machine [not including labor].
The bottom line is that I think this washer will probably last 5-8 years [hopefully] and provide us with fewer washes [because of the very large tub] which means savings in water, electricity and wear & tear.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, huge tub
Cons: water level automatic no manual override, no changes once started

Response from Samsung USBy Ms. SamsungHQNovember 13, 2014
Hi 87billy,

If the WA7200 is not spinning enough water out of the clothes, please make sure the appropriate Spin Speed is selected on the control panel, and make sure the washer is level. If you're washing just a few heavy items, it may help to add a few towels to help with weight distribution.

The maximum Spin Speed of 1000 RPM should extract most of the water out of the clothes. If yours isn't functioning properly after checking the tips above, I would suggest contacting the Support Team through this link: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/request

Thank you,
Ms. Samsung

Washer is easy to use, and performs well. It is too deep and I need to use a step stool to reach the bottom of the tub.
Pros: Durable
Cons: hard to reach bottom of the tub

Our first HE washer.

We purchased our washer a few weeks ago and so far, it has done a great job. We have washed about 7 loads since it was delivered and so far, no complaints. It has a very quiet operation. The cycle options are great for a variety of loads. The washer is very user-friendly/easy to use. We are still getting used to a washer that only uses a fraction of the water our other washers used.
We chose this washer because of it's many features including Aqua Jet for improved rinse performance, Smart Care where we can use our smart phone to diagnose problems and the expectation of being energy efficient while using less water. Just a well thought-out design.
We look forward to purchasing the matching dryer soon.
