I really did not plan to write a review for my Symmetry case on my Samsung Galaxy S4. But, the timing could not have been any better than when I checked my email this morning and saw an email from Otterbox asking me to rate it. Just so happens that yesterday my child knocked my phone off of an object in my garage. It fell about 5 feet onto the concrete floor . It landed on the bottom right corner of the case and bounced around until it came to a rest face down. I figured that I would be buying a new phone, but when I picked it up, there was not even a scratch or a crack for that matter! Nice job Otterbox. Not only is this one of the lightest cases I have had, it ain't bad on the eyes either. Couple that with the protection it provided against that monster drop and you have a winner. Buy this case. Plain and simple, you will not be disappointed!

I do like this case it is slim and pretty, and does protect my phone. The only thing I do not like about this case it does not protect my little openings for the phone hook up and other openings.

I love this case. It's exactly what I've been waiting for. It's slightly thinner than my Commuter case and fits into my pockets more easily. While the back is more slippery than the plastic on the Commuter case that is a plus for me. It's not so slippery that it's difficult to hold on to.
The big negative for me is that I dropped my phone once (a frequent occurrance for me#, and I learned the beautiful design on the back of the Dreamy Pink case, is simply a pink veneer over a white backing. In one corner this veneer was slightly larger than the pink plastic underneath. The white backing of the design is visible #I could take a razor & cut the design veneer to fit#. I've submitted a warranty claim #for the scratch that resulted in white scratch marks on the corner of my case).
If they can fix how the design is attached/melded to the plastic back this will be a 5-star case!
Pros: colorful, great design, slim
Cons: Not durable

I purchased this case to provide a little more protection on an upcoming vacation. As a mom of three boys, it has already been tested, and the protection seems pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised that it fits the phone better than the case that came with the phone. The original case partially covered the speaker used for the speaker phone option and made it difficult for people to hear me when I used speaker phone. No one has complained since I got the OtterBox case. My husband has the defender series, but I love the slim style of the Symmetry case.

This is a nice case - it slides out of a pocket easier than the Defender series because the material is less "sticky." On the other hand, I've seen a Galaxy S4 with the Defender take a tumble- hitting the floor from 3 feet up and bouncing on the corners several times- and come out unscathed. It's unclear if this Symmetry case would be as cushioning for exactly the same reason - the material is harder and more slippery

I love this case so much I have the Aqua Sky color and as far as protection goes i have no clue i have never dropped my phone on the concrete or in the street so i cannot really say. But one thing that i really hate it how dirty the edges get, i have to wear black pants to work so im always slipping my phone in an out of my back pocket so the edge around the screen is always dingy dirty looking and no matter how much i scrub or wipe down with alcohol or a soapy towel it still looks dirty I am thinking maybe its that way because the rubber is such a brught color the dirtiness would show more on the Aqua Sky color than maybe a dark purple. Other than that i love the case and colors!

Cons: dirties easily
