Love! Love! Love! my new refrigerator

I absolutely love this refrigerator and will never buy any other type. I love the dual ice makers, both of which can be turned on or off separately. LOVE the bottom freezer. This unit has plenty of storage in both the refrigerator and freezer. Love the different baskets/storage spaces in the freezer. Love how you can see everything in the refrigerator - even in the see-thru drawers! I can't say enough good things about this refrigerator - I am thrilled with it!

Love the outside, but it isn't getting cold

I am kind of middle of the road on this one. I love the slate finish and I like the bottom freezer, but I don't like the long drawer in the top that requires me to open both doors to access. It completely kills the convenience factor. Also, even though it is set at the lowest, it is not getting cold enough to keep our food in good condition.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Heart broken!

In January 2015 I purchased this refrigerator in addition to the dishwasher, microwave oven and electric range as a set when I remodeled my kitchen. Seemed all was well until a few days ago when it seemed that the refrigerator wasn't cooling as it should. I called a local repairman which took three days for him to come to find out that he wasn't an authorized repairman for the newer GE models. I then called another appliance store to learn that they do not service if they don't sell the product, they suggested I call the place that I bought it from. This being Menards, I called immediately and learned that unless it was in the first 12 months they would not be able to help. In the meantime the refrigerator unit continues to get warmer so I move my food to coolers to try to not lose them. I call General Electric repair line to learn of three authorized servicers (one was the one I had already called that referred me back to where I purchased it). I called one and he injured himself and would be out of service for 2 to 4 weeks. I called another and set an appointment (the soonest time) for an additional 8 days until they can come. What more can I say except that I learned that service AFTER the sale is critical. Who would think that a refrigerator could not last more that 18 months? Yes I received the emails about extended warranty but I had more faith in General Electric products now that my complete kitchen is full of them.

OME filters will add excessive operating costs to the overall price of this refrigerator.

We purchased this about two months ago and wish we would have our old refrigerator back. The water on the door leaks, the ice in the door only hold about 2-3 cups worth and its constantly getting plugged because it doesn't break the ice into pieces so they are all lumped together from the actual ice maker. So u have to open the door, open the ice makers door. Take out the ice box and separate the ice bc the machine didn't do it. Super frustrating!!
I do like the double doors but the freezer is to small and everything sits on top of each other. And the second ice maker in the freezer is a joke. It take several days to fill it up and it doesn't hold much. Very bulky!
