We recently purchased this fridge after our old GE lasted 13 years. That is pretty good for today's standards.

Very spacious with a lot of features

I purchased this to replace a side by side refrigerator that we had purchased when we built our home. Not enough room in the side by side. When it quit, I shopped and purchased this one. So far I love it. Noisy at first then the next morning it was quiet, just like I was told by the person I purchased it from.

Design Problem !

There is a design problem with the ice dispenser, specifically the crushed ice dispenser. You dispense the crushed ice and walk away. You go back a few minutes latter and there is water running down the front of the water/ice dispenser area and at times down the door. When you get crushed ice, there is a build-up of very fine crushed ice left in the shut. When that melts it runs out (dah !). If you don't clean it up immediately, you have water stains in the dispenser area and down the door. It might not be as noticeable on white, but on stainless steel it is a constant battle !! Didn't buy a new unit to have to clean it every time we want ice !!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big interior

Very nice replacement for an older GE refrig. Great cold food accessibility.
I find that I just use the dispenser ice. The lower ice gets frozen together and I'd have a hard time getting any out if I wanted to. If I'm going to need more ice I guess I'll plan ahead. I will need to dump it out and let it make fresh ice a few days before needed. It is not fast at making ice.

LOVE this fridge! Runs quiet, looks great as long as you touch only the handles (stainless). Only problem was caused by salesperson telling us it was "standard" size, installer said none are standard anymore. We had to move cabinets to make it fit, disappointed the cabinet depth was more expensive and less space so we kept the bigger one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
