we love the 2nd ice maker and there is plenty of storage. still not sold on the bottom freezer, but I'm sure i'll get used to it.

Two ice makers and so much more room than our old side by side. GE did it right on this one, best price on 2016 model.

I've always wanted a fridge with French doors. I had the chance and am so glad I did! Love the double ice maker and the freezer being on the bottom.

Perfect refrigerator/freezer design and use of space. Slate is high end and user friendly (no finger prints)! Love my GE appliances.

Works well, love the interior lighting

A beautiful refrigerator, I got it specifically for the slate color. The interior is very well-lit, roomy, though I'd have designed it with more specific compartments. The freezer freezes, of course, but the tracks/sliders are 'jumpy' and cause the door to open and close with a cracking thump. If I'm not careful, the door closes but must be pushed hard so that it seals. Otherwise, I open it to find frost accumulating. I wish now that I'd gotten a side-by-side again; this is my first French door model but I was very happy with the side-by-side, thinking this would be even better. Nope.
I noticed that each model like this is discontinued and another very similar model replaces it, so I'm guessing the engineers are tweaking it as they go. I hope this helps them tweak it a little more.
