She Looks Pretty but Are Looks Really Everything?

I am not going to lie. I bought this Refrigerator because she looked pretty. My decision was based 100% on how she appears.
So here is what I love about this Fridge:
Her looks (clearly)
The Sliding drawer in the center for deli, meats, etc.
The inset lighting,
The Ice Cube Tray in the door AND an extra tray in the freezer drawer,
The space! Cakes, lasagnas, roasts, there is room to move the shelves to fit your needs! Large items have met their match.

Beyond her looks, here is what I don't like about this Fridge:
The door handles stay dirty. You have to wipe them off each time you touch them so while they slate grey is great for not showing fingerprints - something I was trying to avoid which is why I bought Slate vs. Stainless Steel - you still have to constantly wipe the handles. You can't use Lysol Kitchen Spray or like products either because it will leave foggy streaks. You can use Pledge Multi Surface which gets them clean.
The Ice dispenser / water dispenser in the door. I am pretty sure that this was built without anyone actually putting their glass up to it to get ice / water from it. When you use it, you have to peep under to ensure your glass is EXACTLY under the shoot otherwise water and ice goes everywhere. I have tall, 32 oz glasses and still have to ensure they get right up there or I am picking up ice off the floor.
The deli / meat drawer that I loved so much I planned to use as a vegetable drawer so that I could clearly see all our families veggies for the week. As we eat a lot of organic produce I liked the layout to ensure we were eating what needed to be eaten time wise. The drawer randomly gets too cold and freezes the leaf produce over. I have changed the settings "Deli / Meat" to see if one fairs better than the other but no influence.
The display menu for the ice / water dispenser is touch sensor. As mentioned in the first grievance, the fingerprints show up worse than a toddler playing with your iphone so you will have to clean the display too. When you do, you have to be cognizant that your display is on lock or you'll be giving the fridge circuit a run for its money as you accidently alter all the settings while cleaning. Worse case, you set the deep freeze cycle on your fridge and you can say good-bye to your produce.
It's bigger than you think it is. The handles, although I like how they bend out, will visually make the fridge feel bigger by about an inch. This may sound meticulous but it is good to know if you're spatially oriented or if you have limited space to work with.

I bought the fridge for more storage and was pleasantly surprised when I found out it had 2 ice makers.

Love the space of freezer. Easy to see what you have in freezer. Two ice makers are nice to have. Refrigerator runs quiet. Love the slate over stainless steel. One thing that helped in my decision to purchase was the height of ice and water dispenser. Can actually get a taller glass under. The only thing I wish if water could dispense quicker same on my last GE refrigerator.

Trouble with noises

We bought the frig 4 months ago and have made 3service calls on it because of noises which have lead to 3 parts being replaced. Tech has been very friendly and GE has been apologetic when we call though.

Good product bad price

only had it 6 months and works as expected. like the interior "beverage and meat" drawer with optional temp settings and LED lights color coded to the chosen setting. Like the hide-away split shelf where taller objects can be stored. like the large, tall water/ice dispenser. my only real complaint so far is the price...its just too high. But all refridgerators these days that are in this category are priced too high.

Slate Refrigerator

Love the color and it working well. It does have a slight hum noise and if you do not use the door shelves for tall items there is not enough room for the tall items.
