Installed fridge and already needed 2 fan replacements, now make a loud noise when the fan runs, every morning there is frost in the freezer, and now intermittently my ice/water dispenser doesn't work as of a door is open. I have to open and close all the doors push all the buttons and then it works again. I have grave concerns I am going to have a long term headache with this fridge. If it wasn't for the slate color, i would have considered another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've looked for years for a replacement refrigerator and this one won hands down due to it's contemporary look, finish, superb features, quality of workmanship and construction, and energy efficiency. It provides an updated look to our kitchen and home.

Poor:
A fan, about the size of my fist, was draining all the power going into the refrigerator. We were advised that it was a "common" problem with about a 10% probability.

Lot's of room, already had to replace a part

Looks great, inside is nice. Already had a failed evaporator fan that had to be replaced. For the price, seems like GE would be voluntarily recalling and replacing the part. I am replacing an Amana made in 1994 that is still working well and have never had to repair, I hope this is the only bad part.
