Bought this to replace old ge fridge that came with house I bought and wanted all ss appliances. Looks great works great and tons of space!

control panel to dark , don't know a plastic film

Like the ridge over all but one thing that I don't like is that the control panel is dark and the label print is hard to see don't know if there is a shipping protective plastic film over and I just can't get it off or it is just that dark.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had problems with the Turbo Freeze....comes on all by itself & adjusts the temperature on its own! The part to fix it was on back order for almost 2 months! Then when the part did come in, I was told that because so many people were having problems with the panel, GE came up with a new update for it & it would be another couple of days! I also noticed the refrigerator doesn't seem to keep the temperature it is set at! I have it set on the lowest (34 degrees) & I find the items in the refrigerator are always sweating, like it is changing temps!? I also was not impressed with the looks of the refrigerator when I got it.....there was tape residue & marks all over the outside from the plastic being taped to it & scuff marks, that won't come off, in various places on the outside of the fridge! There is also foam insulation coming out around the door seals & some smeared around the area! Not impressed with this refrigerator.....when you pay that much money for an appliance, it should look brand new.....it should not look like you've had it for years!! I am not very happy with refrigerator at all!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this in February. I have already had to have the evaporator fan replaced. Was told that it was a known problem with this model. I hope it is now fixed and I hope to enjoy it for many years.

I bought this refrigerator about 6 months ago and I love it. The vegetables stay fresh for weeks and I don't have to purchase as often. The fruits, even blueberries and strawberries stay fresh and not too soft for a long time. I love the blue meat pan indicator and I've changed the area temps according to meats or deli. I left the door ajar and the musical tones notified me. The freezer is easy to use and efficient. The two ice makers are perfect for our large family gatherings. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator to everyone.

Good All purpose fridge, but had problems earl

I like the basic design of this fridge. Plenty of space & good variety of possible shelf arrangements. If you like to store a lot in the freezer, might want to get a separate. This has adequate space for our family of two.
Problems: Fan in fridge went out within first three months of ownership. And within four months of ownership, now the water dispenser line is leaking (very slow drip, but a leak nonetheless). For this reason, I rate a 3. At bare minimum, it should be working as designed for the first year! I will not get a GE fridge again. and would not recommend.

love my smudge proof fridge!

First of all, this fridge is beautiful. Its very sleek and did I mention SMUDGE proof? I hate stainless steel because it never looks clean. This is a great alternative to stainless. Also love that you can fit a pitcher under the water filtration system.
