Great Fridge!

We got this a few months ago and love it. The LED lighting is not a gimmick--much better than old lighting! My wife really likes the slate--no fingerprints!

Love this refrigerator

I LOVE this refrigerator! The French doors, shelves that adjust to my needs, the lighting inside and out, the turbo freeze. The top drawer in the freezer. The ice make kept up with the ice we needed after my husbands knee surgery. The fun gun metal color (doesn't show prints). It's awesome. Everyone who is in my kitchen comments how much they love it also.

Noisy Fans

We had to make a service call within two weeks of delivery to correct a loud fan noise. The service technician told us that they were having issues with the fans on this model of refrigerator. 4 months later there is another fan noise and we are making another service call. Beyond the fan noise issues we do like the refrigerator and its features. Although we do like the refrigerator, we cant recommend it due to the ongoing fan issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had our new refrigerator about 3 weeks and we absolutely love it. The light inside is really cool and we have lots of room for everything.

I would pick a different GE if I had it to do over

This fridge was installed abt. 3 months ago and I cannot get used to it. We have had a freezer on the bottom before and love that part of it. This freezer seems to have a lot of space. The drawers move smoothly even when full and I can fit a lot into it. However, that cannot be said for the upper part. There is extremely little space for anything taller than a soda can. There is the slide back, half shelf but that is not enough room for items that ARE taller than a soda can. The ONE right door that has the ability to hold items as tall as a ketchup bottle does not make up for the lack of space in the main fridge. The problem?? The HUGE ice maker. It is big so that it can make loads of ice fast and spit it out the front of the door & all over your kitchen floor. My husband LOVES the in door ice and cold water dispenser. But he is not the one mopping the floor ten times a day. There is no tray to catch small bits of ice or water that fail to reach the inside of a glass. Really? Really! I like the 2 small drawers, one on either side but I do not like having one large drawer that requires opening both of the French doors to access. I would rather have 2 more drawers, one on each side. French doors are supposed to reduce energy costs by limiting the exposure of the fridge to the kitchen. That can't happen if you have to spread both doors wide open to get the one bottom drawer open. We did look at other GE refrigerators and I let my husband convince me of just that energy saving feature. Now I wish I had gone with the GE fridge that I wanted that had one door up top and one on the bottom. Just personal preference I guess. The refrigerator works just fine.

Some Drawback

I love the space available in this fridge. But, entire fridge is not square and cannot be perfectly leveled. Serviceman said is was mfg. defect and sees it all the time. Water dispenser drips a drop or two after dispensing - serviceman said that's normal - what??? Needs light on front control section - you can't see what your selections are - water, ice, etc. Also, NO manuals are sent with any products - you're supposed to get those on-line. Should I have to drag my computer to the kitchen to figure out how to set shelves?
