Not quite ready for a full review, but.....

The scanner produces great quality, but has a steep learning curve. I downloaded instructions (why so little info per page making the manual 100+ pages long??) and haven't had time to devote to trying it again. A huge project awaits my scanning, so I hope I can get with the program again soon.

I received this beautiful scanners as advertised. I have yet to be able to get it installed. I carefully followed all instructions with ZERO success. For peace of mind I would not recommend this scanner to anyone, least wise my friends.

Who still uses an "Install CD" in 2016?

The only inconvenience with setup is the use of an install CD. As most laptops no longer have CD drive and desktops are long vanishing altogether and headed to mobile, why is EPSON who is typically at least in step with technology most of the time, still selling devices that require install CDs?

Needed to replace a flatbed that finally died; this was only option available immediately. In my view, the software that accompanies the product does NOT meet my requirements. Tries to name and locate the save destination to the file, rather than allowing me to direct. Adds extra work, and is just not for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great product

A great product, easy to use and doesn't take up much space. The download took some time with downloading updates. The programs works even though it still says that ijl15.d11 is missing from my computer. Don't know what that means.
