I had no luck with functionality with windows 10, i tried all of the suggestions on msft and epson web with no luck. I installed it on my laptop who still runs Vista and after waiting about 20 min for the install, sheesh! the scanner works perfectly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have seen that it is not very fast in scanning and it keeps crashing with Windows 10 when I select the highest resolution. It forces me to start the computer again.
It seems that the driver needs an urgent update so I can use the scanner without any problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great scanner for the money

I purchased this scanner to use at a family reunion, as some relatives were bringing albums of old family pictures.
The scanner worked great, and the fact that it drew power from the laptop meant a great deal as we were in an outside pavilion with no electric power available.
It was easy to use and my only problem was that I had a hard time getting the icon to open the scanning software.\

The scans were perfect and the old pictures came out a lot better than I hoped after scanning!
If you need an inexpensive scanner that can run off a laptop, this should be your first choice!

Ease of Setup

I bought this last night to scan 100-year-old family photographs and documentation, plugged it into my new MacBook Pro with TouchBar, and went to System Preferences. Clicked on the Printer/Scanner icon, and there it was! Didn't have to download anything; my Mac was ready to scan and save as JPEG or TIFF or PDF. Easy to use and quick. Also, so small and light and powered by USB means I can travel easily to where documents are with just this and my laptop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Images - Spotty Software

Easy to use, light, portable and convenient: Unfortunately, this has been offset by quirky software which has recently made this a pesky, unreliable device. Epson needs to worry less about add-ons and enterprise related invasiveness and more about getting their products to just work with different operating systems and applications (Adobe and Nuance pdf to name two) without the scanner driver needing to reloaded on a regular basis. Sad disappointment!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have owned many scanners.
This was the easiest install ever, it did not come with 64 bit Windows 10 Drivers, found them on Epson Website in 15 seconds Downloaded plugged in Scanner and it is working. Even works with my old PhotoShop 7, I can scan into PhotoShop.
Last Scanner did not update to 64 bit drivers. So there off my list of companies I will buy from.
