The product works well. My only concern is that I have to reboot it ever so often, as it just stops working. Overall Rating 90/100

Really miss this scanner....

I have both sizes of Perfection scanners. Loved the little and light V39, but now it will only scan once for me, before it freezes up. Would really like a fix for this. No clue why this problem started. I am reluctant to replace it with the same model.

needs 64 bit software update

I needed a flatbed scanner for texts and images. I opened the box installed the software on my macbook pro and found that while I am able to use the scanner with the current Apple OS, I will not be able to do so with future Apple OS updates. Please let me know this will be done or I will pack the puppy back up and send it back

Nice Size Unreliable Software

Bought this scanner to do a lot of family pics and document scanning on the road. The scanner was a great size, but the software reliability and functionality is poor.

Can’t use it with an ipad

I bought this hoping to scan photos at a family reunion into my ipad harddrive to create a family photo album on the cloud when I have home internet. It needs to be plugged into a usb for power my ipad doesn’t have a usb to power it! So back to the store it goes tomorrow.

Great Scans - but for how long

I bought this scanner earlier this month. Plugged it in & it sounded like it was grinding itself to death right out of the gate. So I ordered a replacement & the new one had the same issue. I can't say how long it would take for it to stop working - but it certainly sounded like it was making a speedy headway toward that end. I am a fan of Epson products & I will just replace it with a higher end model. I'd rather pay once for something that lasts than buy the cheapest thing & have to replace it early on.

Hi KellyC, the V39 scanner does make a sound as the carriage moves. Because of the slim design, the carriage sound may sound more distinct than larger scanners. Unless your V39 is not responding or you don't see the scanner carriage moving inside, then the sound is normal.
