This scanner replaced my more expensive scanner so I wasn’t sure I was making the right purchase. But I couldn’t be more happy with this scanner. It scans smoothly, has great OCR Scanning, and it’s dependable and its stress free.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped working when I installed the Epson Software update

I was pretty happy with this scanner for a couple weeks. Then Epson released a "Combo Update" that I installed. Since then, I have not been able to get my Mac to recognize the scanner. I've tried reinstalling the old and new drivers with no luck. And every time this stupid "register your product" pops up. Finally decided to register to see if not skipping this step would finish a driver install. Bad time for it to drop me into a "please review this product" screen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

High quality scanning

I asked for this scanner for my birthday and I have loved using it. I am working on a project to convert all of my family's and my in-laws' photos into digital copies so that they are saved from aging and I can print as many copies as I'd want! This is sure doing the trick. The family have loved looking through pictures, and the scanner has been able to brighten up a lot of the aged photos. It scans in great detail! The only issue I had was that I use a Mac and the installation information came on a CD (I don't have a external one). It took me awhile to find out how to do the installation online without the CD. It's definitely a time consuming project, but worth it

Purchased in March. Used it during my visit to my Mother to copy many of her old family documents and photos. Great scanner resolution that helped me see new details in the photos. Scan rate is a little slow, but is still a great value!

Good scanning features

I bought this to replace a printer / scanner that had finally failed. I like this as a stand-alone unit. The problem with the combo printer / scanners is usually the printer part dies and you are stuck getting another unit. This time, I decided to go with a stand alone scanner and I'm glad I did. It copies JPEGS and PDF files just fine for my regular use.
I've been using it for several months and have no problems yet. It was easy to setup and it might be a little slower than some but I like it.
