Works as well as I had hoped. I planned to use the scanner for a family heirloom project in which I am converting many picture albums into digital form. Best feature is that if you place several small pictures on the scanner screen at one time (I did as many as 8), it will record them as 8 different photos. If you try to do that, you have to allow some space on the scanner bed so that the scanner can recognize them as individual pictures. If you crowd the pictures, the scanner will see them as together. You do not have to cut them and crop them separarely. Worst feature is the time it takes for scanner to work - thus 4 stars instead of 5. But altogether, I'm glad I chose it.

I just received my Epson Perfection V39, and I will say it's about the easiest installation on any office equipment device ever! I've yet to put it to use, but if the machine works as easily as it installs, many thumbs up!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't buy if using Mojave 10.14 on MAC

I've had an Epson scanner for many years and loved it. I purchased this scanner a couple of months ago and love it. The technology has come a long way. No waiting for warm-up before the pre-scan or scanning. The color correction software is great.

Nothing I could do would get it to talk to my PC. No drivers worked. Threw it in the closet. Waste of money.

Versatile, robust, light weight, easy to fine tune.

I've been using Epson products exclusively for 25 years. The V39 is the latest addition to my stable. I needed a lightweight portable capable of high resolution images. This easily fits into my 'go' bag along with my 15" laptop. Software is superb, handles difficult tasks with ease when you take the time to learn it, and scans quite fast. At only a hair over 3 lbs. it's ideal for traveling with a high quality scanner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This worked great the first time I used it. Now, 6 months later, I want to use it again (with the same laptop) and it won't connect. The cable is plugged in, but nothing. :(
