Great value for the price

I needed a simple scanner for archiving old photos and other stuff shot in the film days. Scanner freezes up but I simply unplugged the scanner and plugged it back it to correct the problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have only used the b/w to scan documents so far. It REALLY makes a scratching noise as the plate moves. I assume b/c this is a small machine. The documents saved and sent were fine.It works fine for the price. I have not tried color yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Scan software is quirky

Overall, it works well, scanning software is quirky. It often will not scan all photos when doing more than one.
For the money it is a good value

The scanner is easy to use and set up. You can scan multiple photographs up to 4 at one time.
On the negative side the scanner will indicate it can not communicate with the computer after using the scanner over a period of time. Happened on two different computers and software is up to date. You have to unplug the scanner from computer and restart the computer and it works great until it happens again.
It is a good scanner though for the price.

so far so good!

Very portable because doesn't need a power cable, simply turns on when plugged into your computer. The downside of that is that a wire connection is required, but to me the portability outweighs. It's super light. Does not crinkle pages at all when they are larger than the bed. Picks up light pencil. A little loud but oh well. Overall very happy with the scanner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this scanner because I need to scan several items and my husband is using the home office where our Epson printer/scanner is located. It scans quickly and the quality of the scans is high.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far so good

So far I have scanned a few hundred pictures. Pictures have included some Polaroids and a few black and whites. The scanner has done a good job. I am slightly concerned about how the hinge cover will stand up to repetitive lifting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the scanner to restore a photo for a friend, then realized how I could use it to preserve my own old family photos. I'm really glad that I made the investment!
