First time set up Sucks

My wife purchased this scanner. I set it up and it won't power up. I uninstalled the software, reinstalled the software and will try again. This really sucks that it doesn't work the first time. Cross your fingers that it works, because if it doesn't, I'm getting another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well but a bit slower

I have an older Epson scanner but it finally quit so I bought this usb scanner. It works well just like the older one except the scan head moves much slower

Most bang for the buck

Consumer Reports said that the V39 provided "the most bang for your buck"! They were absolutely correct! Albeit I've just started using it, I'm already impressed with its ease of use as well as the finished product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does exactly what I want

Excellent detail and color saturation, especially for the price. I was happy to discover that I could scan a number of photos at the same time, automatically separating each. The device is light. portable and doesn't need an external power supply. I recommend it without reservation

Easy to use

This little scanner is easy to use and set up. I am using it to scan my millions of photos to my computer. Although I can upload photos to Google Drive, it would be much easier if I could send them directly to Google Photos!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works with Mac OS, but ...

I bought this scanner in order to scan in a few thousand photos from my mother's house. I use Mac OS Catalina, and yes, the scanner is compatible. However, I do NOT use Epson's scanner app - too clunky, and not suitable for large scale repetitive scans. Happily, the built-in scanning software included in Mac OS works great with this device. After you open your system preferences and click Printers & Scanners, choose Perfection V39 in the left hand panel. Click "Open Scanner ..." and then you are ready to go. My only real complaint is that there is no built-in sheet feeder. Otherwise, it works well for my purposes.
