Didnt need line installed because existing water line was fine. price was right for this accessory

What's great about it: inexpensive
What's not so great: scary to drill into your existing water pipe
This water line was purchased along with a Whirlpool 21.2 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator sku# 3004962 for my mother-in-law.
I chose to install it myself. You will need is a battery powered drill, a 1/8" drill bit capable of piercing your existing copper water line and a phillips screwdriver to tighten the clamp around the water pipe. You will also need an open-ended wrench to tighten the connections. I believe it was a 3/8" in size but it may differ depending on which adapter (comes with water line) you end up using.
If you are connecting to a water pipe that is not near the refrigerator then you will also need a drill bit to go through the wall/floor etc in order to feed the water line through.
Of course will have to shutoff the water that leads to the pipe that you will drill into. Took about 15 minutes once you get the nerve up to drill into the existing pipe!

I'm assuming this was already installed on my Samsung frig. I've had the frig for 2 months now and no problems. Ice maker and water dispenser work great. I had my plumber install the main line - copper piping. I believe in installing it right the first time for the long run; not cheap out so you have to pay for labor again to fix it down the road.
I would recommend this to a friend!
