This is one really great useful quick tablet. The screen quality is super good IMHO better then the new iPad minis. The tablet having a micro memory slot is really a smart idea of Samsungs, you can add memory at a much better cost then with other brands of tablets. Surfing the net is quick with it's powerful 2.3 GHz Quad processor and 2GB Ram (Just wish it was 3Gb Ram) and you have many really useful Apps from the Google play store. The screen is very responsive, and sound quality is good for such a small device. Battery life is very good. Having a Dual-Band Wi-Fi is a super Plus if you have a Dule-Band Router. Thats my take on this new Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

I bought the first generation Tab and then the Tab 2 since then I had been reluctant to buy another one. I have a Kindle also if you want to watch your vast library on Amazon this is not an option on any Android i know. I do have VUDU and it works just fine with Android. I have 3 iPads and they work with everything I mean my iTunes movies, my Amazon movies and VUDU. What I do like is that this 8.4 tablet is just right to hold in your hand. My other tabs were okay but this is the perfect size as they were 7 inch models and 8.9 inch. I also have a Windows 8.1 tablet which works with everything thing also. What sets this tablet apart for me is the crystal clear screen. It is just a good as my Retinal display and not as big and clumsy. I know I could have gotten a iPad Mini but with three already I just didn't see the need for another. I have so many now but this is my favorite. It just works there are so many other apps now that were not available when I started all of this. I only have Samsung phones and for that the tablet experience is not something I need to learn over. Given the choice I usually take the 8.4 with now as it just more easy to take with you. You do need to purchase a 2 amp usb charger for the road as the ones that will charge your phone will not work with this tablet but is true for Dell tablet too. I don't do word processing on my tablets or spread sheets I don't need those kind of things and if I do I take my laptop with me. I can't help but chuckle over how people complain they can't have Word or Excel have you ever tried to use them on a tablet that is about 7 inches not a very good experience as I found out with my Dell but it does work but you need a stylus as the things you take for granted with Android are so apparent on Widows.

Cons: not being able to play my amazon library

Finally! An 8 inch Android tablet with great specs!

I've been waiting for this tablet for some time. I have wanted the ~8 inch size ever since I bought my 7 inch nexus 7 to replace my iPad 2. The 7 inch is too small and in my opinion the ~8 inch size is the best - I can read everything, but it's not too big like the original iPad/~10 inch. The screen is beautiful. The battery lasts all day. I have had no issues at all. I love it. The only issue is the lack of accessories (covers, cases) available upon release.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, high quality components

After a couple days use very satisfied. Samsung wireless connectivity and capabilities are far ahead of all the competition. Samsung
WI-FI offers a,b,g,n and ac connect. The AC wi-fi connect is a great feature when your home network has AC capabilities many people don't even know what wi-fi AC connect is, but it is a great feature the competition does not even offer. I will write another review after a couple weeks use.

Amazing tablet

This is an amazing tablet. Beautiful screen. Powerfull cpu and go. Lightweight. I use this tablet for multi media and gaming. There isn't a game that this tablet doesn't do well. Only issue the 12gb of storage isn't enough. Each one of my games are around 2gb. So it eats up space quickly.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, amazing screen!, top of the line internals, very powerfull
Cons: not enough built in memory. 16th isn't enough, apps to sd moves only a small amount of an app ove

I love the screen and performance. They're simply great. I strongly dislike the physical buttons on the portrait bottom of the screen. My prior Samsung tablet (a GT 7.7) had the buttons on the bottom of the screen. The advantage of this method is that the buttons are always in the same place; portrait or landscape. This makes the tab much easier to use IMO. I know I'll get used to this layout but it's pretty obviously inferior to the on-screen buttons. I own, or have owned, four tablets and a number of other mobile devices so my bad reaction isn't just to a change but the ergonomics of the button placement based on a fair amount of hands-on experience.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, resolution, performance, weight, plastic case
Cons: poor button placement
