Fantastic tablet

I bought this tablet a few weeks ago as a replacement for my old iPad 2 and I love it! The camera is better than the older ipads, and is a much better camera than I expected a tablet to have. The compact size is comparable to an iPad mini but it's not too small for intense writing and researching. The on screen keyboard is actually better than the downloadable ones. The flipboard-like media home screens are an added bonus and allow me to keep up to date with the news and twitter. All around, it's the perfect little tablet and I'd recommend it to just about anyone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Samsung has the tablet game in the bag

The tab 3 truly is a great product. It's price is reasonable when compared to other high-end tablets, but what sets it aside from the rest are the features and display quality exclusive to samsung. As far as features, having two apps on screen at the same time is great for school, allowing the user to have a note application running alongside a web browser for clarification of terms used in say a lecture, if needed. Moreover the tablet is a beast as far as processing goes. In map applications the rate at which the device renders locations and even 3D cities surpasses anything short of a desktop, especially with power saving mode turned off. Furthermore, the display alone is an outstanding piece of hardware. After using it, trying to go back to my phone screen was depressing; the pixel density of this thing is unreal and if you couple that with the way samsung makes colors pop everything else becomes obsolete. My only complaint with this product is the button placement. When being held in landscape orientation hitting the volume or lock buttons happens far too frequently making for a frustrating experience while watching videos but all in all, I feel strongly that this is the best tablet in its respective field of the market.

Ipad Mini killer

I used to have an iPad mini and I been wanting to get an android device strong enough with a sharp imagine and light design that will convince me to speed the money this device did it all lighting fast and buttery smooth sleek design that packs a kick the screen is amazing the color saturation and the colors is way better of an iPad mini battery life is really good out of the box I had 54% battery life I did my set up and update and installed all of my apps and the tablet died after 5 hours (playing games and watching Netflix and you tube ) the tablet is pretty light and the charging port is still micro USB but it charges really fast fully charged in less then 3 hours this product is a must looks like Samsung did it again there is no android tablet on the market right now that come even close if you r reading this stop and go to your local best buy and check it out they have the Samsung both over there and they got all the models note that the tablet on display at best buy got a demo loop that is slowing doing the tablet a lot out of the box it's blazing fast

This tablet is definitely one of the best smaller tablets on the market. Not to big not to small the perfect size to fit in your hand. The features are amazing how fast everything operates is on point. The LCD display is one of a kind colors really pop and feel vibrant. Very durable and feels nice in your hands. Only con is when the tablet is in landscape mode the speakers that are at the bottom of the tablet tend to get covered by hand. Other than that the perfect built tablet. Well done Samsung!

I had this unit for only one day and returned it so it is difficult to review. I purchased online and did not examine one first - bad idea. Several things disappointed me ( size too big, too many apps I would never use, touch screen action) but the killer was that the maps I wanted to use disappeared when no Wi-Fi signal was available. Lesson learned - check things out thoroughly before buying.

No demo, how do you use this thing. Went from desktop computers to this thing, just terrible!

The only caveat is the fanatic and unnecessary blocking of ropt access.
I have been an architect, engineer, and programmer of just any Unix OS.
This illusion of security by not allowing an owner of a device access to his/her own system is foolish and irritating.
