I recently switched to the Note 3, and decided to get the new Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. I am a longtime iOS and iPad user. I have 2 currently, and was an early adopter with the iPad line. I just picked up the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. The screen size takes a bit to get used to. However, the size is amazing to work with. The advantages of this tablet make it a near perfect "laptop killer" in functionality.
In the tablet realm-- with the exception of the Note Pro 12.2, there is no equal. Especially when compared to the iPad line. I can open four programs at once, one of which is playing out high bitrate 1080p video in MX player, while working on a word doc in Hancom Office, running Facebook, and running my Twitter client, "Plume" at the same time, with no lag. The multi-tasking alone is worth the switch. It really is incredible.
Performance is incredible thanks to the 8 cores and 3GB RAM. There is no such thing as lag. The screen is wonderful for video, and the included software and "perks" are cool, too. The ridiculously high resolution of the screen really is nice. The ability to add MicroSD and being able to run USB devices through an OTG cable really make this a great device! I like the iPad line, but there is no real comparison in any area you care about. The Tab Pro 12.2 is very impressive, and makes tablets far more productive, and fun!

I am a 71 year old "NANA" & just love my new tablet!! I needed to be able to enlarge everything from paying my bills on line, read my many e-mails & especially to see my photos of my 6 great grandchildren as they come to me!! I am still learning how to get & use ALL the benefits that it offers!! Thank You for this great product!!

Love the Tab Pro !2" Tablet

I've been a Nexus 10 user since they came out last year and was waiting for the new one, which never came. I took a chance on the new Tab Pro 12" when it was released and have never looked back nor regretted forgoing the Nexus. I like the larger tablet and have no problem with it's size or weight. I highly recommend it!!

The quad core in this device surpasses all of my expectations, the multi window feature will make your jaw drop! Voice recognition is better than my IPhone! This bad boy boast a crystal clear resolution that can't be beat, and the sound, will rock you!!! I am a DJ, and this is best tab that I have ever had the honor of exploring. SAMSUNG you did it again.

Were you a near-sighted, too-smart GEEK before the word was invented? Then you got LASIK vision correction, and at last the world was yours? But then--oh no!---age caught up and now you need reading glasses? Get this big-screen tablet and leave those reading glasses wherever you last left them--(where WAS that?)

Great tablet. Can complete work word and excel documents. Screen is large and sharp. The add on keyboard is compact and easy to use. I use every day.

This tablet has practically replaced my desktop. Just love the large screen! It was a little pricey but worth it; you get what you pay for. I had a cheap tablet that was junk. I liked that you could add a 64 GB card for more memory. This tablet does so much and I'm still learning new things. I'm partial to the Android operating system. As of yet, no problems. I'd recommend this product.

Powerful tablet for a newbie

I was shopping for Android tablets to test/debug my coding. It was the AMOLED display with the amazing video playback that made the choice for me. The powerful processor inside convinced me I would not have lag-time problems switching around between apps. I have owned SmartPhones before this first tablet, the Pro 12.2.
At first there was anxiety on my part if I had made the correct hardware purchase. The Pro 12.2 is a unique size and the choices for add-on accessories can be a limited. After locating a leather book cover for the Tab Pro I am happy to wait and add anything else later on.
What I am mostly impressed with is the Pro 12.2 can do many things with just the wi-fi and the KitKat Android OS. The app stores offer many free and professional-grade apps. I like the FOSS -- Free and Open Source Software feel of instantly downloading and trying out software.
I give 5-star in all categories except Value. I'm buying the Pro 12.2 before the holiday season begins and paying the retail price. But, the gut feeling is the Pro is ready for future Android updates and I have a solid hardware capable of running the next release of AndroidOS.
