Great Tablet for the money!

I purchased the tablet about two months ago and so far very pleased. The screen is bright and very clear. I like the expandable memory option and have put in a 64GB card. The tablet is fast on most items and streaming movies hasn't been an issue so far. I bought the Wi-Fi version and connecting has not been an issue so far. I would purchase again. I have some issues with the Samsung web site and trying to activate the remote feature - or tracking my device. So far I have not been able to make that feature work. I did have to contact support on one occasion and found them to be very responsive and helpful.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color

occasional slowdown, overall good tablet

I've had my Galaxy Tab 12.2 for a little over two months and so far I am very pleased. The included office software is very functional, the size is excellent for movies and video, photo editing applications are great with a large screen for more precise editing. Gaming is for the most part good, though some slowdown is evident on more graphically intensive games. Using an aftermarket keyboard application is useful to set the keyboard on the bottom right for one handed operation so you dont have to reach across the massive screen (an inherent issue if you buy a massive tablet, so beware, it's huge) the expandable memory slot is great for keeping the included memory from being cluttered with music, videos and pictures. Bluetooth connectivity with headphones suffers a slight lag, but very tolerable. The speakers are plenty loud, and I have used it for music in vehicles with no stereo. The battery life is great, though it diminishes faster with a lot of intensiventouch screen use. The UI is a little heavy handed, but I am partial to a more streamline no-frills experience and I could see the UI being pleasing to someone who wants to keep their news and social feeds in the front lines. I was a little surprised that of the 3GB of RAM only 1.6GB was available for use on average, meaning that the system UI takes a lot of resources which I do believe contributes to some of the complained about system lag. I would like to be able to disable the magazine interface, but that is personal preference. All in all I would recommend the tablet as it performs most tasks I throw at it very well. The multi window feature is great, I was using it at work the other day to browse my music playlist while reading a technical manual in pdf format. The screen is bright and sharp, and is very adjustable for dark viewing. I am enjoying the tablet a lot, if you are in the market for something larger for watching movies and productivity, this is a great buy. If you aren't up to holding a gargantuan tablet, you may want to drop down to the 10.1 or 8" model.

The Samsung Galaxy Pro Tab is impressive. The screen quality is amazing. This tablet has no problem running multiple applications. Other people have come up to me while I am using this tablet and asked about it. A real eye catcher! Only con is that I have found is that if you have plugged the tablet in to charge while using it, the battery really doesn't begin storing the new charge.

Why would you buy anything but a Samsung?

I didn't think I needed a tablet. I bought the Note 4 and had a Note 2 before that. I have a 17 inch laptop... But, after working on this, coupled with a Zagg bluetooth logitech keyboard/cover, it goes everywhere with me. Great battery life. Great display (I put a Zagg lifeshield screen protector on it). I put an app on that lets me get my texts and will even let me make phonecalls from this wifi tablet. I have the Samsung Smart bluetooth keyboard, but haven't used it with this yet as i have the Zagg keyboard. Handy! The only thing I have found that I was disappointed in is that it doesn't have the gyro sensor to let me play certain games with the motion control of the tablet, I have to use the touchscreen...not near as fun. But, I didn't buy it for that. I use it as my portable office, to work on emails and write novels, etc. It would be nice if MS Office would come out with their Android app for tablets.... And having a Publisher program feature in that app would ROCK! But that's a Microsoft thing. Thank you, Samsung.

I must say I was sketical to purchase at first but then when it arrived int the mail I couldnt be more happier. I love the screen size , long battery life (mine lasts a good 12 hours), productivity, and its new features. Im also a bigger gamer and the storage fits every game I play and more. All products I own are by SAMSUNG and will continue to be.
