Upscales nicely, disappointed that it won't play a 4K video when they come out.

I bought his player when I purchased my 65" Samsung 8500 SUHD tv thinking it would not only upscale Blu-Rays to near 4K but also play 4K DVDs when they come out but I've discovered it won't. I've had a few times when it wouldn't recognize my 3D tv and wouldn't play 3D but I just unplug the hdmi cable and plug it back in and it works fine.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight

Getting this smart Blu-Ray player is the best decision I could have made. It has so many features, I'm
still exploring them all. The picture, the sound and the clarity are unmatched. It goes well with my 4k TV. I'm excited to buy more Blu-Ray DVDs to watch on it and to explore all it's features

Best Blue Ray player I have bought yet, also bought one for my daughter in College so the girls could watch Netflix. Great Buy !!!

Good overall, but fair on menus and features

The menus are out of date, less interactive than Roku, Apple, etc. And they are slow. Otherwise, a good BD and DVD player, though on DVDs the video stops to up scale. So you have to back up to pick up the beginning of a show. The video picture is great after up scaling. This is the only player that I have found which plays CinemaNow movies in DTS 5.1.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The ease of setup was astonishingly quick & easy. We had a Samsung Blu ray player prior to this. When we purchased a new Samsung TV we decided it would be a good idea to buy a newer dvd player as well. The technological advances in the few years since our last Samsung is simply amazing. I have no idea how Samsung charges so little for these units. They're brilliant!

This DVD player does everything I had hoped for. All my apps are conveniently grouped together. Wifi is included. And the picture is beyond compare.
