This microwave was installed by me to replace a 20 year old Kenmore that became too noisy to use. It was extremely easy to install by following the instructions provided. Every aspect of the microwave is exactly what I want!! An easy to use product that is quiet and very efficient!! Its features are great and I expect it to last for a number of years providing great service to me and the family!!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive

Note: Rated good on Features because our previous microwave allowed microwave and kitchen timers to ruh at different set times simutaneously which we used a lot.
Needs backlighting for the physical push buttons. Difficult to see lettering even with overhead lighting. Would like to see fingerproof stainless steel. Thought Samsung stainless steel products would be fingerproof.

Worth every Penny

Poorly engineered ventilation system

The vent on this microwave is poorly engineered. I just bought this model and installed it with a thru the back vent to the outside. You can rotated the fan to blow up, or out the front top through a filter.
This issue here is the internal design of airflow. There is nothing to block negative airpressure/suction from the fan pulling air front not just the bottom but also from the "would be vent on top". So when you cook , all the greasy and smoky air not only gets pulled in through the bottom, but up and over the microwave and in through the top vent, which not only leaves the front of the microwave and kitchen cabinets with a layer of grease, but the air going through the top doesnt pass through a grease filter, and over time the entire inside of the microwave gets filled up with grease, including the electronic components. This is why i believe my previous model took a crap on me suddenly and needed to be replaced.
Samsung needs to reengineer the top vent so that it can be closed off entirely when venting through the top or back, so as not to draw air through both the top and bottom vents. As of right now to minimize this i need to foil tape off the top vent, which isnt perfect.
Poor poor poor engineering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
