Great Appliance - Not dependable

Using this microwave for popcorn with the sensor does not work well. I was spoiled when I had an older brand that worked perfectly in popcorn mod. You just pressed a popcorn button and it worked no matter what size bag, it figured it all out and worked perfectly.
This is my second ME18H704SFS. My first unit lost the magnetron after two years. It cost as much as a new unit just for labor to replace that covered part. Also, you have to R&R the unit for in home service. I just got another unit. Since I am moving, it was easier to just replace what I had and not spend more. So the one year warranty is great, but when the magnetron fails afterward, the longer warranty on that part is kinda useless.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, magnetron fails, cost of magnetron replacement labor is high
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This microwave does not have "express" features, like pressing 1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes etc, does not have dual timers -can only time one thing at a time, and is an overall disappointment. I would recommend looking at other models/brands.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no express features, single function timer

This is the first Samsung microwave we have bought. I love it!!!!! It is really easy to use and it has amazing features. Most of our appliances have now been replaced by Samsung. I don't think I will buy anything else.

Install Template way off

The installation on this product was a joke. The install manual and template will have you cutting an exhaust hole twice as large as it needs to be.And it wont align with the adapter when you are done. I had to cut the back bottom of the cabinet again so the adapter would fit over the damper. The instructions tell you to insert a self aligning screw through the top center cabinet hole and it has no hole or screw to do that. The unit will be tight on the top sides but not in the middle and it is racking the whole thing.. I will be calling Samsung for screws and a possible replacement.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

Looks great in my kitchen

This microwave oven is really nice looking. I have the black color it fit in with the rest of my appliances witch is of another brand. Using this oven now for about 20 days and it is used several times a day. It has all the features I need and has worked great. It was very easy to install, but you will need help to lift it in the bracket and hold it to put in the top screws. Hope to get several years out of it.

Light Not Working

Two days after installation, the microwave light stopped working. Now I have to go to the store to have it replace. What an inconvenience!
