Replace an older microwave

Replaced a working unit so we could have a stainless steel unit to match other appliances.
Works well so far (only a few days old)
Supplied user manual leaves a lot to be desired. I downloaded the complets manual from the web site which was a great improvement. I know it costs to produce a munual but it should be supplied with the unit.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive
Cons: manual leaves a lot to be desired

Died 2 months out of the 1 yr. warranty

I would not recommend this microwave. It stopped heating just two months out of the 1 year warranty. I contacted Samsung who had an authorized repair person contact me and the megatron (which has a 10 year warranty) is bad but also several other of the electronics! Would have cost more than I paid to buy it to fix!

Designed to fail

Bought this with a bundle thinking Samsung was quality. 2 1/2 years later this microwave is failing and when I asked the sales person, he says that's about how long they are designed to last. I wonder how much longer my other appliances will last

Don't waste your money

Have only been using for 15 months....starting making excessive noise on Thanksgiving and while it is still heating the food it is also heating the plates and containers. Not worth fixing according to a technician.
VERY disappointed in Samsung appliances. Also had a refrigerator that died literally 24 hrs after the 5 year extended warranty exoured on New Years Eve. I am beginning to dread holidays and kitchen appliances!!
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Users Manual is lacking

I really can't hardly rate this unit by any criteria yet, but I had to choose some stars to get to this point I think. Anyway, I haven't even used this unit yet, but I'm greatly disappointed in the user manual included in the box. It tells you very little. I was mystified. It has all these features, and you just have to guess how to use it. I thought surely there's more. So I searched the Samsung website, and sure nuf, there is a much more comprehensive manual there. But you really had to seach for it, and select a "more" button to even find it.
I guess it saves a few bucks to not print a manual and include in the boxed unit, but come on..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish it worked as good as it looks

The first unit I got was defective and had to be replaced due to internal fan/motor issues. This micro is very attractive and I love the black stainless finish along with the other matching Samsung appliances. Installation went very smoothly. Pros: appearance, simple controls, fits well over range. Cons: door opens and closes hard, cooktop lights are much too dim even on hi, touchpad must be pressed very hard, timer does not function at all, some other functions do not work as described (Soften/Melt, Snack, Kids Meals). I do not personally use some of the functions that do not work on this unit, so I will keep it. I am not confident in this unit, but it currently works fine for the basic uses I need it for and it looks nice in my kitchen.
Pros: black stainless finish, overall attractive design, simple controls
Cons: timer and several other functions do not operate, hard to open and close door, must press hard on touchpad, cooktop lights very dim even on hi
