The Galaxy Nexus IS simple, beautiful, and intelligent... just like the commercial says. I am very impressed with the Super Amoled screen, the zero shutter lag camera, Face Unlock, and the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 system. It's nice to have the phone early, so that I can make all of my friends Android Green with envy!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, easy to use, super amoled screen, face unllock, ice cream sandwich, camera
Cons: google wallet missing, price, battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

I didn't have to stand in line for one like the "i" guys do, but I did have to go to several wireless provider locations to find them still in stock the day it came out. That was no surprise because this is a dynamite phone and well worth waiting for in any case.
Positives: performance, screen, Android 4.0 OS (ICS), overall design, 4G, no bloatware - Android reference platform.
Negatives: speaker/headphone sound could be stronger, no memory expansion, but with 32 gigs installed I doubt I will ever need one.
Being totally honest - I was very critical over the updates on my Fascinate, which is an excellent product, but Samsung has done a great job fixing that situation and I am impressed. My Galaxy Tab 7.0 has been priceless in every way, including an update to Gingerbread! So I bought this unit with a good feeling and I was impressed to see a minor software upgrade the same day I purchased the unit. Samsung is doing a tremendous job and should get credit for their efforts.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, ice cream sandwich os, 4g, high performance
Cons: no memory expansion, low low volume
I would recommend this to a friend!

i've only had the phone for 4 days, but it performs incredibly well. the OS is the key behind the phone, but it's built really nice, not too big but very sleek. the video and camera features are nice, not the top of the line but better than previous phone, the Motorola Droid. this phone is, in my opinion, better than the iPhone even though that was a very good phone. great work Samsung
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, operating system
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a long-time smartphone user (had one of the original Nokia's, back in the day!), and this thing.. just rocks my world.
Android 4.0 is quite nicely done; my only misgiving is that there are a few changes I personally wasn't comfortable with - I'd grown to rely on voice actions, and that's not as easily done with ICS. It still supports Voice Actions, but with no search button to trigger it, you either have to use the google launcher and press the mic in the google search bar - or you have to find an alternative, if you're an alternative launcher user.
Not having a micro-sd slot is a pain, but I'm sure I'll adjust - the consolidate storage makes a huge difference for apps, and windows 7 largely works around the issues that come up. IF you're reliant on USB mount functionality (like I am, for Aldiko / Calibre!), you'll have to find a workaround..
Note: If you use Aldiko and Calibre, as I do? Export your single format (I use ePub) to a folder, then drag/drop into the phone. It's two more steps, but given that I do it once every week or so with the amount I read, it's a functional workaround for me.
I skipped the Nexus S, but had the Nexus One before this - and it was, up until I got this, the best phone I'd ever had. Nicely done, Samsung!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Excellent Android Device!

Beautiful device - well designed. ICS is amazing. Curved touch screen is unique and very classy.
Battery life is a bit low - but all LTE devices suffer from battery life issues.
Otherwise - still gets 5/5 from me.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, ics, curved screen, speed!!
Cons: battery life

I have always had a love for Android, from its ability to design it to your liking all the way to the huge diversification of phones that run it. I chose Samsung as an OEM for my next Android phone and thus started to research into their phones. I found out a while ago that the Galaxy Nexus would be coming out, so I decided it would be my next phone. I wanted my next phone to have three things my old phone didn't have: 1. Bigger Screen 2. Faster user interface 3. Faster data. When the Nexus came out, I went into my local store to look at it and I wasn't all that impressed. There was an issue with the 4G and the device seemed laggy. Nonetheless, I went home and researched some more about it and decided to place the order. When it arrived, all I could say was WOW! The screen was simply the best I had seen, even compared to other popular smartphones. Android 4.0 is indeed the best Android to date. It combines everything I could imagine being on Android into a simple to use and fast interface. The phone itself is incredible as well. The battery lasts no longer than I would expect a LTE device to last and the size (for me) is just right. The only improvement I would make to the phone is beef up the camera, but it still takes decent photos. The data is super fast, faster than my home wifi. Don't get me wrong, it has it's flaws like getting suprisingly hot after a while of use and Android has some app compatibility issues, but I'm sure there may be a fix in an update. Overall, the Galaxy Nexus is by far the best phone I have used since I bought my first Android in 2009 and Samsung has proved that they do indeed produce top quality electronics.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, great size, hd screen
Cons: gets fairly hot after 30 minutes

True, I may be upgrading from the OG Droid, but this phone is superb. It has every feature I could ask for, I love the smooth new Ice Cream Sandwich interface, and it is super snappy and fast. This has to be the most near-perfect device for Android lovers like me.
Pros: Lightweight, Bright display, Durable, fast

Best Phone Out!

This is simply the best phone available!
Other phones can be compared, but this will come out on top.
Some phones may be more durable and have better cameras... not much bragging rights there, though.
The Galaxy Nexus has NFC, the best screen resolution available, a bigger screen than every phone, and no physical buttons on the screen. Other than the fact that it is plastic, the design is simple but beautiful!
Google said that this phone's hardware and software were made for each other, so while other phones will get 4.0 , the Galaxy Nexus is designed for it. This phone set the standards for new phones! Don't miss out!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, big screen but not too big, although it's plastic still durable
Cons: due to software not all apps are compatible yet, 5 mp camera
I would recommend this to a friend!
