Great Phone; some room for improvement

I wouldn't trade a nexus phone for any "better" phone, such as the S3 or note 2, BUT it lacks HDMI out and removable SD Card, greatly lacks battery performance (regardless of stock or mod), and the plastic backing is not great (not a big deal though). Signal is also not great on this phone, but that might be location dependent (have heard this complaint a lot online, though). On the positive side, the super AMOLED display rocks, and the ability to easily flash whatever I want makes it irreplaceable until the next nexus comes out.
Pros: Bright display, unlocked, good performance
Cons: no hdmi out, no removable sd card, poor battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although I love my nexus the battery life is way too short. My S3 lasts 2 to 2.5 times longer. I love the Vanilla Jelly Bean OS and the service issue I had with ICS is gone!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: poor battery life

great phone especially since it now has 4.1(jelly bean). If looking for anything not iPhone I recommend this phone. there are only two issues that I have with this phone, which are the lone speaker that is in this phone is way to low in volume if you are around any source of outside noise. You will have a hard time hearing this phone when people are simply talking at low volume. My other discrepancy is the battery cover it is cheap and flimsy plastic, and the over hangs that make the cover click into place will bend if you're not careful.
The phone is blistering fast and snappy in it's processing speed, and the 4G internet speed is equally so. Resolution and color the screen can put out is nothing short of spectacular. Music output is top-notch greated you got a set of decent headphones. Plenty of apps that are compatible for this phone as well. Overall great phone I cannot wait for the next model for Verizon!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: poor speaker

Nexus > *

i now own both the CDMA and GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus. If you have never owned a Nexus device, you have never truly experienced Android. The Nexus series use vanilla Android (AOSP) and not a polluted version of Android, so you get a pure android xeperience without the buggy bloatware that manufacturers love to put in. The Galaxy Nexus has been my favorite device to this date. So good that when I switched from ATT to VZW, I opted to once again go with the GNEX over other popular choices (S3). Reason being, I have always had Nexus devices, and will continue to do so as long as Samsung continues to make them. Great phone, great experience, the CDMA variant does seem to have less battery life (LTE). but, you learn to deal with it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a good phone. My husband and I both have it. the only thing that could be improved was the volume. I have a hard time hearing the ringer when I have the windows rolled down & it is in the holster on my waist band.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: ringer volume needs to be louder
I would recommend this to a friend!

great product, but a cheap feel

Love the phone. The design is great, and it functions well, but it feels cheap. the plastic back cover doesn't feel sturdy, and in less than a year the screen brightness has faded and has lines running across it. I wish it had an aluminum body. The speakers are great, but not as loud as my old droid 2.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

Nothing But Good Things

This phone has been awesome since day 1. I upgraded from a Samsung Stratosphere, and this phone blew my mind. This was my first Nexus device, and it really allowed me to explore the Android ecosystem. There were so many features that were available on the phone, and I finally felt very happy to own a phone (and that's difficult for me, since I switch phones often). I've owned this phone for around eight months now, and I have loved every moment of it.
Coupled with a larger battery, this phone SHOULD last someone most of the day (though I use my phone a lot, so I have to recharge about 3/4 of the way through my day). If anything, I wish there was a bigger battery, but I feel like that has more to do with Verizon LTE than anything.
Overall, I love this phone, and I would recommend it to anyone. Great work, Samsung. Keep up the great work!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, nexus device
