Galaxy performs, lacks integration with facebook

Only had the galaxy nexus for a few days, but seems like a great phone so far. I like the feel of the body, enjoy the large clear screen. Fast startup and apps. One HUGE downfall is that it lacks integration with Facebook contacts. I am soooo disapointed that I can no longer sync my contacts with Facebook. Huge disapointment, but most likely a result of Google/Android and Facebook fighting...
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: does not sync at all with facebook contacts
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Design. Minor Issues on 4.0.2

So for the phone has been great. Design is sleek. Battery life is so so. On current OS 4.0.2 signal strength for cell service is 50% of my Bionic. I have a cell site @ my work site. WiFi signal reception could be better. About 75% of my Bionic. Overall it is a great phone and can't wait to see the future of google as with all new products, should be improved over time.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: signal issues, battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a awesome phone! I can't wait to see where we go from here in the next year, because this phone can already do almost everything you can imagine. Coming from my archaic OG Motorola Droid to this phone was like night and day. Keep up the good work Samsung!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, large screen, dual processors
Cons: no gorilla glass
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome Phone, battery needs help!

This phone is truly and amazing product. With Android 4.0 and the screen it makes for a smooth and enjoyable experience. The phone slides between screens without a hint of lag, and with Android 4.0 you can do things that other phones just can't...like organize a group of icons into one spot on the desktop. By default all of the Google applications have their own group and you can do the same thing with contacts or games, etc. It makes organizing the apps installed much easier to use and launch. Also, being a Google phone there isn't any of the spamware installed on the phone that other phones have. The only apps I have are the ones that I installed and I haven't found an app that I can't uninstall!
Cons: (1)The battery life is truly pathetic. If I'm actively using the phone...even just modifying icon placement and changing settings without using the Wifi, GPS, or Bluetooth...I can kill the battery in 3 or 4 hours. My Droid 2 would go for a full day, with use of Wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth. (2) The built-in speaker is way too quiet. I had to purchase an app from the market to make the speakers louder. I've now got my volume up a good 25-30% from what it comes default and it's still quieter than my Droid 2 was. This becomes a problem for listening to music or even hearing your phone ring in noisy places. These are the only reasons I didn't review it 5 stars across the board.
Weighing everything I still think this is a great purchase, and the extended battery is on the way!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, android 4.0
Cons: battery life, built-in speaker volume

10 times my OG
on December 19, 2011
Posted by: DevilBob
Bought two on release date. No regrets! I had an OG and my spouse had the Eris. Both were getting long in the tooth. We are both very pleased with responsiveness, great screen and added features like front facing camera. Love the phone, would like to have better battery life, but that is the only complaint so far.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

After owning the nexus
on December 20, 2011

After two days with the Nexus I am very pleased overall. The phone is a major step for Android and will not let you down. However, It does have a few flaws that need to be hashed out. If you are a big facebook user this phone is not for you. Currently, you are not able to share gallery pictures to facebook or sync your facebook contacts to your people. This is a major let down for me but may not be a big deal to others. The other issue I have had is with the response of the horizontal key board. It is slow and can not keep up while texting. The vertical keyboard seems to be alright. Four starts for features because of the lower camera resolution. Four stars for performance because of the slow reaction time and four stars for design because of the cheap plasticy feel. Overall, I have had no other real issues with it and would recommend this phone highly.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, display quality, os
Cons: camera resolution, facebook integration, horizontal keyboard response
I would recommend this to a friend!
