I am extremely particular about monitors and televisions. I have owned many displays over the years and have hated most of them or one reason or another, while also appreciating and enjoying them. I've had some good ones, using va, ips, tn, and tons of CRT's which in some key ways flat panels have not caught up to yet, or they now charge you for what used to be free and part of the tech (full sprectrum color and viewing angle for example, which BTW, is a good reason to use a quality 32 inch tv as a your pc monitor, less gimcrackery in TV industry regarding what they can charge a premium price for).
Even though its hard to resist IPS and derivatives, I am a fan of VA, which this panel uses, because I think it commits the least serious sins. This display, like every single other display I have owned and used, is not perfect. That said, this is the first display I have ever owned that after a month of use I do not hate. The weaknesses of VA IMO, are characteristics that it shares with TN, though at nowhere near the extreme of a TN panel. That said position shifts (leaning far back in your chair ) can result in tonal characteristic changes of the display (like a darker gamma), but not with the severity and localization of a TN panel, and much more gracefully. The panel never suffers that partial haze that most TN panels do if your not sitting perfectly. Lighting is nice and even with no severity of cloudiness at edges or corners, which to me is SUPER important. Color is excellent. It is supposed to be capable of displaying over 99% of sRGB gamut, and it certainly looks it. I do not consider IPS a suitable tech for gaming, not just the speed or anything, but I think IPS displays actually are more difficult to discern fine details in many scenes, in particular dark. This VA panel balances the line of display technology to produce a high quality and attractive display with a couple of lusty features at a resolution you won't have to replace your video card for with excellent speed and visual fidelity.
Anyway long story short, great display, love it. Ultrawidescreen is not only impressive but quickly becomes a must. I can not play games peacefully at 16:9 anymore, and also, it is saving me money, because I am literally replaying my entire library of games, I mean it, in ultrawide, and its worth it. Color is great. Looks great. Stand is great. Build quality is great. The speed of the display, and its "intelligence" the term is escaping me at the moment are top of the line. What I mean is it syncs amazingly well with my video card, and provides a formidable result. Yes, this matters. Not all displays are created equal in many many ways. And truly the vsync race refresh rate stuff..., look Im not a master of this technology, but I am telling you true as the light, its all held over from old tech. Its weird but technically it shouldn't even matter on this type of display, but I guess they have not resolved eliminating it yet, Anyway... its great for gaming. Its great for work.
The curve... at first I don't know, its cool, but I almost didn't get or enjoy it, but now I see what it does when your locked into it playing it does create the more real sense of immersion and periphery. Also, it enhances somehow the dimensionality of the display, this is a really good monitor, but this display is probably the best I have used at conveying space and depth on a flat surface.
I have not touched the surface of all the things I can say about this display... If your like me, know now, your quest to seek the holy grail of displays has not come to an end, and perhaps never will, but it is a satisfying stop on the path.
...game mode useful for some titles, eye saver mode is actually quite awesome to browse casually for extended periods or type emails etc, and makes an immediate difference to my eyes bringing definitely a more relaxed feeling, dynamic contrast mode, believe it or not, is actually useful too. The display has lots of things to play with, anyway.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a large, wide, sharp, full featured monitor. The curve cannot be noticed as you look into the screen, but it makes the monitor seem bigger than it is.
I bought this monitor for my work-at-home wife, who's eyes aren't what they used to be. She absolutely loves it.
Features and designs got 4 stars because no USB port. My only minor gripe, I like a handy USB port close by to plug in my phone to charge.
I would not discourage anyone from buying this product for a subjectively missing USB port.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, great for older eyes!
Cons: usb ports please
I would recommend this to a friend!

From hard work load to general browsing it is perfect
I work a lot from home and this monitor provides me with the perfect solution for a clean workspace with enough room to code and debug my software. Great product.
I am very happy with this purchase and with the features. The display is everything that I wanted and the sound from the internal speakers is as good as when I had external speakers and I save desk space.
This is a beautiful monitor... until you turn it on. The image quality is not comparable to earlier Samsung monitors that cost much less. The brightness is so out-of-whack, even when selecting "Custom" settings and dialing Brightness down to 0, it is still far too bright. This is both subjectively true and objectively true, confirmed via test patterns.
Cons: cannot be properly calibrated
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This TV/Monitor is not compatible with MacOS. There are no drivers available for the Mac. I bought this monitor for its high resolution and the end result is a distorted pixelated image.
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, not mac compatible
