Great Appliance

I love this oven. It has all the features I wanted. It allowed to me get rid of my old microwave and my convection oven. The only drawback is that when using the convection oven, you can only set the high temperature to 400 degrees. Some recipes and frozen entrees recommend a setting of 450 degrees. This is a minor problem as you just need to add some time to the cooking process
Pros: Durable, multifunctional

Well made and performs as advertised. The more I use it the better I like it. It does take time to get used to all the features because all I had before was a simple micro wave oven (not a Samsung brand) that was very simple .......but, didn't last long
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable

I use my slim fry oven every day... From quickly cooking bacon with the convection oven feature to cooking a small batch of french fries.
The auto defrost works great and never over defrost like other units that I have used in the past.
I would say that if you are in the market for a new microwave and have the extra money to spend you will not be disappointed...

Leave it to Samsung to develop an ingenious 3 in 1 product. If you want to eat healthy and prepare quick delicious meals, this oven is for you. Easy to learn with amazing results. I enjoy demonstrating it to my friends. Smart TV, now a Smart Oven. Fantastic!!

A Real Microwave - Convection Oven - for a cook who cares

Unlike other so-called convection/microwave ovens that use microwave heat and just blow it around, this oven uses "real" heat to create a convection environment. Why is that important? Because that heat, produced by traditional heating elements browns and crisps. And when you need a microwave, it does that too - exactly as you'd expect. Need to crisp up the top of a dish? Use the grill option and see the grill elements get red hot.
So what's so great about this appliance? It's small (1.1 cu. ft), takes up less counter room than most, and does the job of: microwave, convection oven, bagel/muffin toaster, small grill/broiler. Some people don't like that the top gets so hot. How about a plate warmer? Perfect.
The "down" side: Heavens! You need to READ the manual. Because it does so much you need to think like it does. Invest some time with the appliance and the manual and you'll love it.
BTW - this is my second Samsung micro/conv oven. Have one in another vacation home. Bought another brand - bigger and prettier - for my main home and returned it because it did not perform half as well is this one.
Shop around. Prices vary like crazy.

This product cannot be used solely as a countdown timer for tasks not directly related to the use of the microwave. My previous microwave, a Sharp, had this feature. For the lower end of the quick cooking/heating, i.e., 0-2 minutes scale, I wish it were able to accept inputs in smaller increments than 5 seconds. For example, if I feed my cats cat food that has been refrigerated after partial use, I usually heat it for 8 or12 seconds, depending on the amount of food. 10 or 15 seconds is often too much (very small quantity of food). Because I can't program seconds in other than 5 second intervals, I have to stand and watch the timer and manually stop the microwave when needed. I can't set it for 12 seconds and walk off. If I do, the very small quantity of cat food will either be overcooked or too hot for my cats to eat. These are nitpicks, I admit, but I really appreciated the small timer intervals on the Sharp, which was a much cheaper unit. The m/v unit is impressively assembled and feels & looks like a quality product. One annoying thing, however, is that the Start button often sticks
