I purchased this model about 9 years ago and have had no problems whatsoever. I would not recommend this for families because of the small capacity, but for a single person like myself, it has been great. The dryer is the best and fastest I have ever used!
What's great about it: great dryer
What's not so great: small wash loads
I would recommend this to a friend!

The unit is really much noisier than I thought. Even with nothing in the dryer and the dryer turned on (as I did to check out the unit) it was very noisy. When this unit dies I definitely will not replace it with a similar unit, but will choose to have brackets mounted to the wall to mount a free standing dryer above a washer instead of having a stacked single unit. Also know that you don't need to purchase the accessory hoses if Whirlpool through the BestBuy Geek Squad is installing for you. Whirlpool installers only use their hoses provided and only warranty when they use their own hoses.
What's great about it: Compact size
What's not so great: Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this stacked Whirlpool washer and gas dryer on Feb 2010 and had to replace the timer on Oct 2010. The timer started to wane then didn't work properly at all and was lucky that it showed up before my warranty was up.
What's great about it: stacked
What's not so great: parts
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the ONLY combo washer/dryer that will fit in my apartment without having to take a wall down, so it's not like I had many choices. That said, this works fine for what it is - a small appliance, best for one or two people. The dryer is super-fast. It is noisy, however, and the washer has become unbalanced once or twice when washing heavy towels. I haven't had it for more than a year, so time will tell on longevity.

Lid sensor broke within 3 weeks of delivery

Received washer/dryer and saw a dent on the side. 3 weeks later it would not drain and spin. Discovered the sensor that is triggered by the lid was not tripping. Later found out it was not covered by the warranty because I use it in my massage office. Not impressed with the quality or costumer service on this item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Purchase Ever

This is the worst washer/dryer combo. Do not purchase. We purchased new in April and have had it repaired three times in 8 mos. In order to qualify for a new washer/dryer the unit must be repaired four times.
The washer consistently becomes off-balanced. Each time it has been repaired we've been given a different reason for the defect. This last time we were told to make sure we put the clothes in evenly. We live in a condo complex and the neighbors consistently call to complain when we try to do our wash because the washer is so loud.
The washer is very small. We can typically only wash about three pairs of jeans per one load. The dryer is also small leaving clothes wrinkled.
Do not purchase!!!
What's great about it: None
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it's the first washer dryer combo I have owned and it is wonderful, it fits perfect in my apartment, and it washes the clothes great and the dryer does a wonderful job also.

This is second one of these units. The first one lasted 14 years with no problems and was still working, but I replaced it at the same time as replacing all of my appliances. I have had this one for about 12 years now and not had any problems with it. It does a good job and it suitable for one or two people. the capacity is small, but this is the only unit which will fit in the space provided in my condo. The alternative would be to relocate the laundry to the garage. Overall, I would say this is a good unit for the money, but I would not recommend it for a large family.
What's great about it: Compact size
What's not so great: Somewhat noisy
I would recommend this to a friend!
